Happy New Year, Ayo! 😊 Yes, the GRE showed me shege , it was tough! I didn't pass. Despite not passing the exam, I received two admissions along with funding. It's truly a testament to God's favor, and I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunities ahead.
Hi so funding in the US is school specific for most institutions. You would need to apply through your school and department depending on the find of funds they have available. There are merit based scholarships which doesn’t necessarily involve application it is based on academic excellence if your school have that and your result meets the criteria you would be awarded. There are other funds like graduate assistant, research assistant and Teaching assistant this ones requires application through the department. I hope this helps
Hi, Ayoola Happy new year I came across your video about your GRE experience few days after I failed mine in 2023. I was devastated and started having testing anxiety. However, I've been getting admissions without funding. My interview is in few weeks and I still don't have funding. Please what would you advise I do in this situation?
Hi Joy thank you very much for watching and reaching out. So the fact is it is possible to get your visa approved without funding if you can show the visa officer that you have enough funds personal or family funds enough to cover your tuition and living expenses. How you defend the question on funding is very important. I would say prepare for your interview and have a good explanation for that question just incase it comes up. We can discuss your story more if you already have on on Instagram here is my handle -ayoolaagbona
