The Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis White River Park has a exhibit the showing Indianapolis was under 6,000 feet of glacier at one time with the last of it going away 14,000 years ago. 6,000 feet of glacier make it easy to understand how the ground was bulldozed and cut off to have the flat farm fields of today. One geologic documentary had the mid Indiana glacial region having the fist 200 feet earth being glacial till.

I hike #9 about once a week. I watch countless visitors get lost when they get up to the big blowout--there's no direction sign there. Most go down to the beach instead of turning right and going along the ridge. With so many extra Trail#9 signs along the ridge part, is it possible to move one to that point? Or maybe even install a couple of those cheap metal direction posts at that spot. I feel bad those people get lost, and miss out on such an awesome trail!!
