Oh man, that HM-3 was surprisingly good but I’ve never had one. Only the HM-2w and somehow I got that to go into fuzz territory within .005 seconds of engaging it using this the Crate amp with custom speakers. It was a Crate GFX212 which was very easily the dopest solid state amp and Crate amp I ever used. I had no idea what kind of badassery that amp was gonna deliver when I paid like $75 or $100 for it. Ended up trading it for a sweet blacked out lefty Fender Strat that I still use with small mods like Gibson Burstbucker in the bridge. I’ve been hearing some pedals in my want/watch list on Reverb and makes me want them more. Just scored a cheap Deadbeat Sound Thank You fuzz completely unopened waiting since 2017 to be chosen. But I’m gonna give a good and aggressive response to break it in and see what mods if any, I need to do.
Surprised how well the HM-2 did, the Berhinger SF300 is still the best entry level pedal for Wizard stuff, Plasma sounded good n the Cthulhu, it's hard to pick one over another when all are laid one after the other but one thing I would say is the hype n price doesn't always match the sound you get plus all art is subjective, great video cheers
nice riff, but the pedals all kinda sound unnatural to my ears. Have you checked your input level while recording? Which IRs did you use? I’m jelly bout your collection🙌🏻
You might be able to guess which is my favourite! ;-) Seriously though, I prefer spitty, velcro sounding fuzzes with plenty of mids. Keeps you from getting lost in a live sound. Let the bass handle all the low end. You have quite a few that I don't, have you tried any DopeFX pedals? The Boba Fuzz is great! Also the Cuvave Fuzz is incredibly velcro-ripping and gated, if that is your thing. Good video.
Something is wrong here. I have some of these pedals and they dont sound like this. Sounds like they are getting starved for voltage and as a result sound sputtery. Use a dedicated quality power source, not a one spot or something cheap.
The more I dive into fuzz, the more I realize boutique pedals are a waste. All of these tones can be got with a Muff, Rat and SF-300 into a slightly dirty amp. If you want ultimate versatility add a graphic EQ after the dirt before the amp. It’s the most fucked up filthy tones you can conjure..all slightly different but all the same. Just stack gain until your brain melts. The sound is going to change somewhere in the recording chain anyway. No need for a $300 fuzz. You want to sound the most doom? Grab any fuzz and any distortion. Plug them in series with varying amount of gain on each. Mess with the tone controls to taste. I’d bet you nail a lot of tones in this video.
I thought I had a problem with compulsive fuzzbox buying until I saw this video!
What a great video! The 9 of sword burial and hand, stand out. As well as the fuzz war
Glad to see the Fuzzhugger Doom Bloom in there. Awesome pedal that is often overlooked
Russian Plague, Carcosa, Fuzz War, Plasma Pedal, Green Blob, HM-6 were my favourites
6:30 lol what is happening with the RAT 2 ? Why so much low level and weird choked sound ? I have one and it doesnt sound like that at all
It's seem like some troubles with cable. I have same effect on my amp when shaking cable to cab
Praise Iommi! This has to be the best collection of fuzz out there!
That riff that Electric Wizard plays in nearly every live
the plasma pedal looks really fun, So is the GRAYSKULL as well
HIGH/GAIN for PRESIDENT
Menstruator is a sick doom metal name.

The Carcosa is so thick!..
bravo et super collection

Nah, the Behringer sounds like poop.
@@eaglebauer944 Not sure how he made it sound so bad. I guess it's the amp and the cab sim.
Shit the bed!! You must have the most amazing fuzz collection ever.
Burial at sea sounds great
Great demo, thanks! Was a bit dissapointed by the RAT, was there no way to make it sound better?
Favs
Kink
Super Fuzz
HOG
that riff reminds me of witching hour bell by dopelord
I went in thinking I know what I wanted out of a fuzz and now... now I know nothing.

I liked the Hail Satan 14:05. That said, going direct for doom isn't ideal 😕
Try the Thorpy FX Fallout Cloud.
fuzzlord me likey but all are kool. good job
The Pharaoh still undefeated
I thought it sounded a bit muffled in this demo. Might depend on the set-up, in general I love that pedal.
I'm not sure how you did it, but you made the great ones sound crap and the shite ones sound decent
my choice:
Full Story (!!!) / Russian Plague (!!!) / Carcosa (!!!) / HM300 / Fur Coat / Fuzz War (!!!) / Hyper Metal (!!!) / Plasma Pedal (!!!) / Filth Grinder II (!!!) / Sludge Hammer / Green Blob / Dope (!!!) / MF-4 (!!!) / Fuzz O))) Doom Drone / Grayskull / HM-6 (!!!) / Hail Satan / Pharaoh / Cthulhu Fuzz / Nazareth / LSTR / FET120 (!!!)

Good video.
If you like velcro sounding fuzzes you should try Dirt Transmitter. I think you would dig it!

It's because of the amp settings. I don't like how fuzzes sound on gainy oranges at ALL.
Oh yay, more Doom pedals.😐
Yay!🥳
More D00M🤘🏻
French pedals are the best...😉
Was certainly surprised at the gritty fat sounds! Might have to get one of those Anasounds pedals.

i think you could have done a better job aligning the pedals up with least to greater intensity.
These are the most horrible settings I've ever heard for the Rat...
That's how a RAT sounds without a cranked power section. They have low output and no bass. Context!
💯
@@MackTheKnifeSlowly I use it over a clean sound and it sounds awesome
Considering I own half these pedals this is a terrible representation of them
C'est quoi ce réglage de merde à la rat...
They all sound, well, terrible.
Trust me, it's not the pedals, it's the amps setting. Dark terror is a horrible sounding amp with fuzz pedals.
The sounds are pretty much the same shitty tones for every pedals 🤦🏻
