I have a Pomchi that's had six owners! He's seven years old. Lord knows what he's been through. When he hears the words "eat" or "hungry," he runs and hides. It's a challenge to get him to eat. He'll go as long as two days before his hunger finally takes over and he'll eat. I have made a solemn oath to myself to show him the love and patience that he has obviously never experienced. I always "tell" him, "You've always been my dog. It just took you seven years to get to me." I hope my love will someday heal his emotional wounds and even if they don't, I will always try.
I used to work at an animal shelter in my younger years. To this day the callous indifference, let alone the intentional suffering, that some people can have toward, and inflict on, another sentient creature, that will only ever want to love and be loved, defies my understanding. The relief I feel whenever Lee takes in another rescue is palpable. I breathe a little easier. Thank you. 🐈💕
Same as people who slaughter and BUY meat products… all a cow wants us to live and be in the sun on a green pasture, pigs also… look what you all do to these animals Every time you stuff your face in your gut call Greg McDonald’s and Wendy’s and Burger King think about it think about it for a second free stuff you’re fat

Whoever hurts a kid or a baby, whether it has two legs or four legs, is a bad person. Period. Look at that face! So desperate and helpless, it breaks my heart. Seeing him in Lee's bed made me smile and tear up.

He's a gorgeous Labrador - those big paws, all that loose neck skin, those golden ears - he might be the cutest thing ever! What a baby!

Many years ago a friend and I stole a dog that was very neglected and brought it to a wonderful home. We had no regrets about doing it. It makes me wonder if the man who met Lee with this dog perhaps did the same thing.
Once again tears of joy to see how Lee truly loves dogs with all of his heart. The kisses he gives the dogs are what they need for confidence. Lee Asher knows what doggies need.

Whether or not you got the real story which you probably didn’t, it doesn’t matter because his happy dog life started the moment you arrived. He looks quite young, and has such a beautiful and sweet face. I wish you much joy with this sweet soul!🐾🐾💕
TopcatWarrior agree but from years animal advocates ,animal lovers want and need for animals, the true Justice on ABUSERS and Ban PUPPY MILLS or backyard BREEDERS ! Whoever hurts intentionally helpless animals ,should be Registered as criminal and law should be enforced and Justice! Thank goodness this baby is safe with Lee! But this or others cruel people...still can have more innocent helpless animals and never ending Cruelty going on or the victims loving animals getting euthanized in overcrowded KILLING SHELTERS...cause people don't report cruelty or dump their animals like a piece of nothing!Everyone can help Anonymous!

Labs are so gentle and sweet. I’m glad you saved him.
He must be really pretty young. I’ve always had labs and this sweet little man looks maybe 5-6 months old. My female 11 month old British Labrador is 74 pounds at 6 months she was 60 pounds. I’m guessing this little guy is maybe 30-35lbs. Poor sweet baby.
This beautiful boy has already forgotten yesterday. He will thrive at Asher Life and will never suffer again

Omg I have no words. You have ti be a really bad person to make a young Lab that anxious and miserable as he was. SO grateful you were there to take him out of that situation before it got even worse! The love you gave him, letting him sleep with you, bond and decompress was a first for him, and being a young Lab that's what he needed to relax and smile. You can tell hes scared because when u look at him he looks away and then of course because he expressed himself in the back seat. He was ridiculously scared. Poor guy has been through alot thats obvious. Glad hes safe now.

He looks like a puppy still, he hasn't grown into his extra skin yet as yellow lab pups do when they're young! It brings back memories of my yellow lab Jack! They are such loving dogs! He is definitely home now with you. The perfect environment for a lab! ❤

He is a breeder, he doesn’t wanna get stuck with a dog. Especially one with bad habits learned due to the poor ownership. But at least the dog has a new owner now and he put that effort into getting it a new home

I love all the rescued dogs, during their first time wandering around in the shelter, how they always look back at Lee for assurance and making sure that he will always be their behind their tail.

Aww what ever that sweet boy went through is now in the past and luckily he was able to get rescued by one of the best animal sanctuaries ❤ 🐶

All dogs want to be a part of a pack, not be alone... being alone can be very confusing for a pack animal, so it is great to see a baby boy joining the Asher pack so early in his life, he will blossom into such a teddy bear!
Exactly. Dogs are pack animals. Save for rare situations where something has gone wrong in the upbringing and a dog has become dog aggressive, it should be THE NORM to keep them in at least pairs.
Lee you’re a saint . I often tell people I want to one day have a farm , a rescue , and take care of as many dogs as I can ! Then I show them your videos
@flores171100 We bought our home and land when our first 2 Great Pyrenees were about a year old. They lived their whole life here together bonded siblings, happy as can be. Then we found a local rescue had sent a volunteer 3 hours away to pick up a Pyr (and a pregnant dog) who were due to be euthanized the next morning at 9 am. We fostered the Pyr within 3 days and knew we would never give her up. Then we found another Pyr (male) in a bad situation one state away from us, so we drove 3 hours each way to pick him up for immediate adoption. So here I am 3 months away from retirement….I can’t wait! We currently have 3 of our 4 vehicles as Pyr wagons..lol.. I see a Great Pyrenees rescue in my future! We have the land, goats, etc..but the dogs love the ac in the summer, and watching Animal Planet from our bed…lol..Our two huge babies were on our king sized bed with my hubs while I was getting ready for bed tonight …I love how Lee becomes so ecstatic when he sees his rescues start to relax and accept his affection without fear. ❤️

Howey is SUCH a beautiful pup. His days of confusion and sorrow are behind him. He's home. He's safe and loved.
What a beautiful sweet boy. I honestly could tell from the way that guy was talking about how he had this dog, and "a woman was suppose to get him", that he was lying. "Didn't go through at the last minute" means he was trying to cover up every second of his story, and working too hard to make himself out to be an altogether, perfectly honest person.
His voice was too animated, and you could tell he was struggling to talk about his made up story.

Omg!!! people make me soo angry “not being responsible pet owners”!!! those who keep their animals locked up for hours,,,,should be locked up in that same crate with No potty/food/water breaks,,,, they can see just how horrible it feels….. eye for an eye treatment to all those cruel being’s!!!
