“….a collector of beautiful obscurities in the Western U.S.” That, Tristan, is my favorite line from my favorite video you have produced, a masterpiece of stunning scenery. And I’ve watched hundreds of them. You really have found a unique calling here.
That has to be one of the most unique natural arches I have ever seen. Love the way you filmed the “reveal” move back through. It and the entire area is just stunning! Beautifully captured. Thanks for bushwhacking your way there to share with us, Tristan! I am in awe of this place!!
This has to be one of your top 10 videos for sure. The bushwhacking was tough. The arch was amazing. I have never seen an arch like that. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure..
Levi Brinkley and Dave Dunbar were friends of mine among those who died on Storm King Mountain that horrible day in 1994, almost exactly thirty years to the day that I found this video. In a few short weeks I will be returning to Bozeman for my fourth trip to that town to deliver my second (and last)-born to join his sister as Bobcats at MSU. We plan to travel and camp there and back with a group of friends who all know and loved Levi, and I now hope we can all visit the memorial of his crew leader on the way back, as well as Levi's memorial in Burns Oregon. Thank you for posting this video in time to learn of such a beautiful place, and for stopping to regard Don Mackey's memorial. Also, in researching this site, I discovered Corvallis Montana is nearby: I grew up in Corvallis Oregon, and never knew there was another place that shared this name. Thank you again.
Thank you so much for this climb. As an older guy I don't think I could do it. But I did it vicariously through you. Really cool place, astounding. Thanks.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your hard work, and dedication to allow us followers to come with you on your adventures. 99.9% of us could never make it to a place like this. What a super wonderful arch. Truly amazing views. You really did an amazing job on this one.
Only you, Tristan would attempt this for your viewers! Beyond words how awesome this arch is! Thank you for doing for us what I/many of us would not attempt!! We've watched many adventures but this was EPIC! Kudos!
To reset the oil change indicator, press and hold RESET button while turning the ignition switch to the ON position, and keep holding RESET button for more than 3 seconds. And oh by the way AWSOME VIDEO MAN!!😁
Ah, the wonders of the electronic age! You beat me to it, which is good because I didn't know the actual reset procedure; but, I was going to offer the opinion that the issue was likely a simple matter of a reset code not being entered by the person performing the last oil change since it was done so recently.
Absolutely incredible hike, Tristan. Gorgeous sights & the arch to me looks like a giraffe’s long neck & head. 🦒 LOVE IT! Glad it is far away from human destruction 😊❤❤❤
WOW ‼️ Thank you for taking us on this magnificent adventure. Gorgeous views and the drone shots were amazing! I'm pretty sure I was holding my breath as you crossed the log bridge.👍
The video of the arch from through it and then backing up was fantastic/stunning. I was holding my breath as you were crossing the creek on the “bridge”. Fun day traveling with you on the scooter!
MUCH props on the editing and videography! I know all the setups and walking back to retrieve the cameras added an additional 4 hours minimum on this journey, but it made the viewer experience 100x more rich for it. Thank you!
Wow! The drone shots were amazing. You are one amazing person. I'm 63 now, so I doubt I could make it, but I am thinking about it. Absolutely love all of your adventures.
you really delivered on this one Tristan, beautiful place. great hike (brutal as it looked). great cinematography and what an arch. the sheer scale and improbability of such a thin slice of an arch to survive until the day you could hike up to it and see it in person. Its alway disconcerting when you see a warning light come on in the middle of a long trip, but you did leave us with a cliff hanger there, hope it all panned out for you as I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to see you continue this awesome trip you've planned.
Finally...back in the mountains. Incredible video and trip. The drone doubles the enjoyment. Can't wait for the rest of the trip. Favorite part...every mile driven in the mountains; every step taken on the trail.
I’m blown away that you’ve hiked the entire wilderness trip without a bear spray can in your hand. How did you manage to choose the timing of the hike in bear country without a sighting or two? Very fortunate indeed!!! Thx for the expenditure of all that youthful energy. Glad you found the log bridge to cross the river without dousing the filming gear. You had a cool foot for a quarter mile anyway.
thank you for this awesome hike, i have lived in Hamilton mt for 45 years and never even heard about this arch i have hiked a lot of these canyons, looks to be a tough hike, nicely done.
I will watch this video again and again because the scenery and the arch were so extraordinary. The drone footage of the arch made it seem so massive and yet so fragile. Wonderful job Tristan. The first time that I felt that maybe you were about at your limit.
Tristan-that drone shot backing through the arch was absolutely spectacular! the scenery and composition was perfect. I was blown away seeing it on a computer screen, I could only imagine what it looked like in person.. thank you for your videos Tristan- I've been living vicariously through your journeys for a few years now. You have helped reawakened a lifelong wanderlust that had been dormant for years. among my own journeys, I have purposefully diverted to a few of (the more easily accessible) stops you have shared. the green river valley being my favorite. again, thank you for sharing your collection of beautiful obscurities with us.
YOU ARE MY HERO!!! That was amazing and thank you so much for taking us along. I'm exhausted and all I did was watch. lol I can only imagine how incredible it was to see in person. I give you credit for not giving up. God bless you and be safe in your travels!
Wife and I hiked up to the footbridge a couple of years ago and admired the arch from there. Now I am inspired to hike my old rear end up to the arch! One of my favorite canyons!!!
Include me among those who've mentioned what a truly beautiful piece of videography this is. I hope a thought that sustains you through the hours of working your butt off to get to these places is, "This is really going to blow their minds." Because it always does. Thank you.
I've said this before and after all the effort you exerted to bring us along it bears repeating. You take us to places that most of us would never see and create a visual experience that really captures the wonder of these "obscurities." The drone shots of the arch make this a prize in your collection. Hope the oil light is nothing major and your scooter adventure continues.
Hey man, that light for the oil change probably came on simply because whoever changed the oil last didn't reset the oil change indicator. You can probably look up how to do it on youtube, haha.
Yes, Hondas, cars and scooters, just count the miles from the last time the oil change light was reset. In Honda cars there is a misleading "oil life" percentage but that is just a calculation of miles driven since the last reset, not a true measure of the condition or level of the oil.
Amazing! Can't thank you enough for sharing all your beautiful, and sometimes dangerous, adventures with us. Thank you again and do continue to be safe.
"Incredible" was the word I kept saying to myself, out loud, while watching this video. Wow. Just wow! I would be happy to just be standing at the bridge looking up at it from a distance, but thank you for giving us a perspective, and scale, by taking it for the team and going up there! I started watching your videos (I think my first was "Demon Road" as I love backroads!) over a year ago and look forward to watching whatever you post. I am especially excited that you're in my part of the world. I'm in Spokane but consider E WA, N ID, W MT, SE BC, SW AB, and some of Oregon and Wyoming to also be part of my turf after exploring these areas for years. Here's hoping your oil light is only something minor so you can keep heading north.... Thank you for so much for adding to my armchair adventures!
I overnight backpacked this canyon a few summers ago! This area is absolutely INCREDIBLE! Definitely want to come back with climbing gear some day. Thanks for letting me relive my journey a bit :)
Incredible arch...Incredible journey. Sheesh, that bushwacking looked awful. This was an epic video. The scenery was spectacular. I always look forward to watching your videos and seeing where your next adventure will take you. Your adventures inspire me to take it to the next level when I go out on my own hiking trips. I know these videos are extremely hard at times time and can be consuming and difficult to make . So, thank you for ALL you do to bring us your incredible videos. It requires a lot of work and sacrifice. I think I speak for all of us, thank you...I appreciate it.
This is truly a beautiful place. Thanks for braving it all and showing it to us. I'm gonna share and hope my friends take a look because they will also be in awe of it all.
watching all your adventures.... THIS was the most beautiful, awe-inspiring arch and view... I definitely wanted to GO.. .until I continued watching and changed my mind as far as hiking and bushwhacking all the way up.. so that said - thank you!!! I SO appreciate that I was able to see that incredible arch.. I will definitely try to get to the bridge at least (its only about an hour from where I am now). thank you thank you thank you!!
What beautiful country. That arch was amazing. You are one of few that would have endured the hardships and kept going. I have watched you for a long time and enjoy them all. You have a gift. Glad your camp gear was OK when you got back.
Commitment is where MOST people fail, you stayed true and were rewarded with a glory in Nature....hats of to you Sir. The Drone Footage was superb, the bushwacking was superb too, it allows the viewer to see how thick everthing is by the shoreline. Have done similar trips like yours asking myself it it was worth the effort and as we can see here 🎉🎉 it was. Thanks for all of your hard work.... I subscribed...
Your niece LuLu said it’s a Giraffe rock! ❤ Pretty spectacular place, glad you’re able to show it those of us that will most likely never see it in person.
Stunningly beautiful country. That arch is dramatic. One thing that must never be done, is climb that arch. I'm surprised you even suggested that could be done. Reminds me of the climber P..... who climbed delicate arch in Arches N P in Utah, and the furore that caused !
I hiked the main trail up Blodgett Canyon about a week after this video was recorded, and saw that arch. Thanks for doing the extra work to give us a close-up look. That is one of the most spectacular valleys I’ve hiked, and expect to get back before long to hike all the way up, and some of the many other east-west canyons and ridges in the Bitterrots!
This Arch is Totally Amazing! Thank you for bush whacking though all those trees to share such an amazing sights. We are enjoying your videos from your scooter. It seems like you point out more sights along your journey. Stay safe.
Incredible Tristan. You are a genius videographer and storyteller, and an incredible adventurer. If you are on Patreon I am going to support you. You deserve it.
Thank you. I enjoyed this very much. My bushwacking days are over. In my 40s and 50s I backpacked a lot. My husband & I did a lot of beautiful country in four corners states. This is an area I have never been to and it is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your adventure and making it possible for those of us over the hill to see this beautiful arch and amazing area.
Hey Tristan, thanks for sharing this one, and for the bushwhacking and long slog up the mountain to show this spectacular arch! Our favorite part was how you filmed the arch...going through it, above it, showing yourself under it for scale...awesome! Never saw this arch before. 😎👍
Awesome scenery! Love the video of the drone passing through the arch! Thanks for taking those of us along who would love to do that hike but no longer have the knees to do it!🏔️
Wow, wow, wow! As a fellow backcountry adventurer, I appreciate your effort and tenacity! If i was still your age I might attempt that climb this summer, think I will hike the canyon and bring the binoculars. Thanks for the incredible shots and story! Be careful with that scooter though, the most dangerous part of your adventures, is riding that thing...
Loved this video so much. Excellent quality(especially the drone shots of the arch), amazing scenery, great host, and music to match. Thanks for sharing.
I have been in this area before, just farther south on the Twin Lakes/Lost Horse Creek Rd. I had no idea this arch existed. Thank you for documenting it! This is truly God's country!
Thanks Tristan for taking us along on your adventure. The arch looked like something outta Lord of the Rings! I waited to see if it moves. As always-great video. We'll keep watching over your shoulder from Olympic Nat'l Pk, Port Angeles, WA.
Been up Blodgett Canyon and up on BC overlook. Gee thanks! Now I have to hike my 70 something butt up to the arch! Can't let you young'uns have all the fun!! Great video!
Hey, Tristan: Kudos to you for the bush-whacking! Done my share, but avoid as much as possible now. Always enjoy seeing MSR gear being used... My uncle helped establish the company back in the '60s. He was a 'Seattle Mountaineer', and worked for the first owner L Penberthy as an engineer & machinist. Take care out there!! & thanks for posting!
Just WOW! Thank you for enduring all of that bushwhacking to get to that stunning arch! That whole place is spectacular and epic. Thank you for bringing us along and I hope everything works out with the scooter.
“….a collector of beautiful obscurities in the Western U.S.” That, Tristan, is my favorite line from my favorite video you have produced, a masterpiece of stunning scenery. And I’ve watched hundreds of them. You really have found a unique calling here.
Thank you Aaron!
They have peak baggers. You can start a new category.
Agreed, that was beautifully written.
That has to be one of the most unique natural arches I have ever seen. Love the way you filmed the “reveal” move back through. It and the entire area is just stunning! Beautifully captured. Thanks for bushwhacking your way there to share with us, Tristan! I am in awe of this place!!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's always hard to really capture the epicness of something like this, but the drone helps tremendously 👍
This has to be one of your top 10 videos for sure. The bushwhacking was tough. The arch was amazing. I have never seen an arch like that. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure..
Wow, I'm glad you liked it that much! Thanks for watching
When Tristan says a hike is hard, you had best believe it! 🙆🏿♀😮😮
Omg - impossible for some of us- that’s why I love it!
@@EvolvingDaily65 after seeing other crazy mountaineering and rock climbing he's done then he says this one is difficult, I can't argue with that.
Wow. That drone arch footage was amazing. You earned this one!!!!!
Thanks Terri!
@@SUVRVing Not to be that guy but I'm going to be that guy. Flying drones in a wilderness area is illegal.
You're a Beast. Thanks for doing the hard part and bringing it to us.
It's all in a day's work! 😁 Thanks for watching!

Astounding is a good word for that arch! Thanks John.
Spectacular scenery, incredibly thin arch, phenomenal video, narration, and story telling. Thank you for taking us along.

To me, it looks like a giraffe drinking from a rock. So beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
To me, it looks like a mother kangaroo embracing a baby one.
Great video footage of the rugged beauty of the Bitter Roots.
It's a beautiful place that I definitely haven't spent enough time exploring. Thanks for watching!
Itchy Scoots! lol... If that arch were in Africa, it might be called Giraffe Arch. Thanks for the GREAT visuals in this video. Happy Trails!

I was thinking the same. Human sculpted but I say it is a dragon!
AMAZING! That arch is more spectacular than landscape arch. Thank you. The drone footage was stunning! Thanks again for the adventure.
If it were easier to get to, it would have as many people around it as Landscape Arch! Thanks for watching.
Thank you for taking us here! 🙂

The horse arch awesomely beautiful❣️

That arch looks like a giraffe if you look at it with your Drone footage. Super cool thanks for sharing this epic hike.
Thanks!
Your efforts to go all the way to the arch are appreciated! What an adventure you shared with us. It was all just stunning!
What a gorgeous remote place - thank you for taking me with you ❤

Yep, because it's illegal to climb arches in Arches NP. It's not here. There are plenty of arches outside of Arches NP that get climbed regularly.
I hiked the main trail up Blodgett Canyon about a week after this video was recorded, and saw that arch. Thanks for doing the extra work to give us a close-up look. This Arch is Totally Amazing! Thank you for bush whacking though all those trees to share such an amazing sights.
We are enjoying your videos from your scooter. It seems like you point out more sights along your journey.
Stay safe.
Just another incredible video. You work so hard in so many ways to do a great job. That arch is just unreal. Thanks so much.
This area looks absolutely amazing! Tough hike, for sure! Thanks for the drone footage. It was perfect!
This was amazing- especially the drone view looking straight down on the arch. And great to have your adventures be in green mountains again!
That was definitely some gnarly bushwhacking - incredible hike - thanks for taking us along!
Incredible Tristan. You are a genius videographer and storyteller, and an incredible adventurer. If you are on Patreon I am going to support you. You deserve it.

Can't believe how massive that arch was! Thanks for trekking thru to the top! Very impressive.
I have never seen anything so amazing. I was terrified for your ascent …..thank you for something I could never EVER see in real life
What a spectacular arch! It's so airy and fragile looking. Thanks for all the hard work and for sharing this unique find❤
WOW! Thanks for sharing this video, and preserving this arch on film for people to view!
Wow! That gorgeous arch has a look of impermanence to it. That's for seeking it out and sharing with us. Rare footage to be sure.
"Look of impermanence" is a great way of putting it! Thanks Jorja.
Your tenacity is impressive!

STUNNING! Looks like a horse/seahorse. Incredible that this is rarely if ever shown in videos.
Does anyone else think that arch looks like a giraffe? Mother Nature does amazing things. Thanks again for another off the beaten path adventure.
I thought it resembles a dragon!
Been up Blodgett Canyon and up on BC overlook. Gee thanks! Now I have to hike my 70 something butt up to the arch! Can't let you young'uns have all the fun!! Great video!
Absolutely scenic adventure love all your cool gear and your new scooter.
Loved the drone shot of this arch. I can't imagine what it would be like to see it in person. Thanks for sharing!
