Sometimes I wonder how Maria comes up with ideas. Her jewelry is always matching the topic and I've got it in my head that she finds a nice pair of earrings and is like "oh, that looks like honeycomb...I should do a honey themed video". This video is on point. Maria, I think you're at your best when you do this stuff!

@@snarfus5000 there is one named “Tio Nacho” which is a Mexican brand, I’m pretty sure you can find it online. I definitely recommend it, feels like honey and smells like honey, and has many benefits.
I'd like to take this opportunity to say that if we as humans want to make sure honey stays in abundance...we need to make sure the honey bee stays in abundance.

Honey bees are actually invasive in the US. We have native bees that imported honey bees are stamping out :/

Since 2006, commercial beekeepers in the United States have reported honey bee colony loss rates averaging 30 percent each winter - startling, when compared to historical loss rates of 10 to 15 percent”
@lameeveryoneandnoone while it’s true that all bee populations are decreasing due to a mix of different issues- native, wild bee species are in danger of total extinction, which is not really the same threat faced by domesticated honey bees. Domestic honey bees have places to stay that are ‘convenient’ for humans (hive boxes) which is not true for wild bees, which are increasingly choosing to build hives in human homes/spaces (because humans are beginning to take up more and more space in this world), where they are often intentionally exterminated or accidentally poisoned by the pesticides we cover our lawns with. Additionally, as humans cut down more and more forests to plant singular grass specie lawns, naturally diverse pollinating plants become more and more rare (you can look into the importance of bio diverse lawns). The same is often not true for domesticated bees, who are usually purposefully kept near farms, orchards, or gardens. While honey bees are great pollinators, domesticated species ARE wiping out native bees, who play vital roles in our ecosystems! There are so many other important pollinators who people choose to ignore, like bats, simply because they’re unliked ‘nusances’. If anyone reads this comment and has a bee hive that needs to be removed from a human area, consider contacting local keepers who will either relocate the hive to a safer location, or integrate the ‘feral’ bees into their own hive! Also consider looking online to try and determine what species of bee you have on your hands! Some are aggressive, some not- others do less honey making and do more honey stealing! Not every bee hive can be identified (because some are mixed!) but knowing what kind of hive you have can make finding the best way to deal with them easier. Long live bees lol ❤
