@ 1:20:00 you could put the stairs in the wall like your stairs in the coridor. if you put them on the back wall ( back being behind you when you are in the lab part and overlooking the growing area) then you can have those stairs go down to main grow area, and to basement, and up to the new greenhouse where you setup a LARrE or 2.
LARrE can currently only pickup from a hydroponics bay and a special conveyer pickup port. and they can only place in hydroponics bay a different conveyer port or floor. (afaik this is what is going to be expanded on with future updates)
I’m sure you’ve thought of this or someone else has mentioned it but you could put the hydroponics back to back ,if larre allows the rails to be that close. Also not to complicate matters but for your final build have you consider how much time it will take larre to complete one full pass of all the trays, harvest and replant before the plants have regrown. Looking forward to watching the melt down next week.
When hollowing out a hill you could place pipes on the outside where they are sunken into the ground, then as you dig you can pull out a pipe and look around to see if it snaps to anything or if you’re safe to keep digging. A bit cheesy perhaps but considering you don’t have very good options for doing measurements it’s a workaround. Or place a beacon.
In my Vulcan playthrough, I actually decided to try the other way around for obtaining water. That is - instead of feeding oxygen into the H2 combuster to make water, I'll be skipping that entire setup and going straight to feeding the oxygen to a rocket that's going to mine water ice. Results are still pending... but either way, it'll be interesting =P
When mining you can equip the mining backpack in place of the jet pack and it will fill up the mining backpack. Just an fyi if you wasn't aware. I've played a few hundred hours and never knew it till i watched Shadows and Dwarfs stream the other week.
I knew it but personally I find it really annoying because I use the jet pack quite a bit and find myself getting more annoyed switching back when I need it 😂
@ 1:54:49 You missed welding the frame in the upper corner.... I'm like "Come on Chat someone else had to have seen that, please let him know" Now I'm just wondering just how long it's gonna take for you to find it 🤔😜
Can you not have a chip in the CO2 filter to read the OutputPressure and put it's mode into idle if the pressure is greater than 18MPa ? That way you will always have a full tank? And you can always do a relief valve back to atmo if the pressure on the Output side gets up to say 19MPa in case of temp changes..
out of curiosity, if you don't want pollutant at all and are already separating it out, is there a specific reason your not just building a waste line chimney to vent it out into the atmosphere? Not sure if the game mechanics pulls it from the voxels directly and that's why
I think he is considering adding the terraforming mod once he has no other base problems to solve. so he is pre-playing like he doesn't want to pollute the atmosphere.
(Question) Can you do Community thing on stationeer to make a base that make a city under ground and airtight like this with capac and community with there own room?
Though it's worth noting, I'm having some issues with my be right back screen so sometimes the frame rate will drop while the Capacs are floating around
@@griffinmartin6356 If you have a tank of mixed gasses and want to remove some number of them but you feed the waste back into the input you have to keep re-processing the same volumes of gas. And if you have multiple filters some some portion of the gasses will be processed by the wrong filtration units before it is eventually removed from the system. As a result the filtration process takes much longer. By filtering in series you end up doing a lot less work and you need one less filtration unit.
Parallel was better 'back in my days' because filtration power was tight to the input pipe length. The more input pipes, the faster was it, no matter the pressure. Therefore, a serial filtration set-up, where the first filtration was ultra efficient (with a waste pipe running through your base) and subsequent filtration not at all with 5 to 10 input pipes from the previous filtration was the perfect way to blow up the input pipe to the second filtration. Nowadays, it is tight to pressure differential and perfectly safe to serialize. However I believe you'll get better pressure differential with a parallel set-up, while getting worse ratios. Test might be needed to determine today's most efficient set-up.
I believe it is not pronounced "IC ten" (as in 'ic10'), but rather "ICIO" (as in 'Integrated Circuit Input/Output'). I guess ic10 is easier to say though.. or just say IC.
@@Flipsie Google ic10.. I don't think it's a thing bro. What you have there is a simulated micro controller. I'm too old to do the internet argument thing, so I won't. Why pull out a pipe? Why not pull out the pipe goggles?

😂😂 Understandable
You should run a conveyor to the production room to the recycling machine for ease of use

Volatiles before Pollutant..
This seems like a learning experience

It's a mod and it only does the atmosphere, but yeah, pretty much 🙂

I don't know why everyone is giving you guff for your filtration setup. Serial is better in a lot of cases and it's what I use in my base.
why is serial better?

It's a numeral 1 not a letter I, and considering they are planning an update that will add ic20, it's definitely a ten 🙂

I'm literally just calling it what it is in the game files. You can try to justify whatever other name you want but that's not what it's called.

The first hour was completely wasted, should have just built an extra tank and swapped the pol and volatile locations…
