- When most people think of Lamu, they might think of the historic streets of Old Town, the donkeys used for transportation, the iconic Peponi Hotel or sailing on a traditional dhow for sunset.
We've experienced all of these things before and they are all reasons to visit this beautiful island, but this time we found one more reason...The Fort of Shela!
With 10 Bedrooms, several dining and living areas, a massive roof terrace, hidden swimming pool and actual round table worth of knights, this was definitely one of the most unique properties we've ever had the good fortune to stay at!
