Hi Gmbn!! I’m French I’m 16 years old and I’m actually a Moto3 racer in the Junior world championship ( FIM CEV REPSOL ), I’m working very hard every day of the year to be one day a MotoGP champion. Not just a rider. But only a few riders can and have the opportunity to go in MotoGP and if I can’t be one of these riders, I will for sure train and work even harder to become a pro mtb racer because I love that, especially the EWS. So if I can’t perform with the motor bikes, yes I want to be a pro mtb racer ✊

I find it quite sad how everything is done for likes nowadays. Yes I understand that pros are a little different, as they have to get their brands noticed, but so many people are riding for likes now, what happened to getting away from everything and shredding some beautiful forests with a friend or on your own. I am definitely guilty of it.
Yeah its a tuff one. Where do you draw the line. Social media is in everyone's pockets and its what you want to do with it to help you or to just show off to your friends//follows what you are up to.

Back in '77 I was 8 with a Norco Spitfire Turbo BMX, was a lil heavy for me at the time, table tops were tough to flatten out and bring back, remember it well. Nailed 🤙 by 10. Got back into 2002, 03 with a wanting for the forest on some nice bikes. Still use them today slightly, they're going to the kids. A 24" Slayer to the dot, and a 26" Bullit to the son. I use an electric and won't give up my BigHit yet. 🤙 Blake.
I live in Hong Kong, got limited trails and here we have good trails but no jumps or pump tracks, i really wish to become a professional but all of it is hard for me. Thank you so much Blake for motivating me and i will keep going :)

It's a versatile sport, anyone can start and it's great fun. I'm picking up a new bike this weekend, Cannondale Jekyll 4, and my question is: Does the bike you buy determine which company sponsors you, if you ever get considered by companies? My second question, and I'd be happy if others could answer as well: Being a 16 year old with a fresh new Enduro bike, what can I do with it? Which events can I take it to? I live in Frankfurt, Germany, and tbh, there aren't many places to ride properly (or I probably haven't discovered any singletrack). I mean, there are a few bikeparks, but there at least an hour by car, and my family doesn't mtb, except for my sister. So, coming to the point, how do I make the most out of the bike and how can I enter my first race? Or are there other ways of being spotted by bike companies? Cheers!
Hey, First question answer: No it doesn't. When you get good and you start to get noticed, bike companies are not worried what you are riding at that moment. They want to get you off what ever bike you are riding quickly and onto there brand so you can continue what you are doing but on there bike. Second question answer: Events wise you're going to have to google whats around you. If you haven't got anything to ride around you. then you are going to have to travel dude. I drive 3 hours every Friday evening to a indoor skate park to train in there foam pit and drive back super late sunday for collage on monday. If you want it that bad you'll do anything to reach your goals. Hope tis helped you out dude. Have fun
