@@drmoynihan I'm really pleased with the size of mine, but I like bikes to be on the slightly smaller side, but obviously not too small. @@drmoynihan to be honest, I'm fairly new to 1x gear systems, tapered heads and bigger wheels. But from what I've heard, you probably won't be disappointed with the XT brakes. Mineral oil is better as it can be specifically made to meet the requirements of the brakes, where as dot fluid is only made to dot spec. If you really like the feel of a 29er then perhaps it would be better to stick with it. Nukeproof say that the widest tyres you can fit on the 29 version are 2.6 inch, but I did see someone mention that you can get away with wider, but 2.6 is going to be wide enough for most people anyway. I'm not sure what to say about the derailleurs, but these days both SRAM and Shimano are both going to be pretty good. As I said earlier, I think the main thing to consider is the reach, rather than the inseam, especially if you get the one with a dropper post.
It should be a straight forward swap. Get the proper crank set for your bottom bracket, a narrow wide chain ring, a 11 speed cassette that is not a sram XD driver so any 11 tooth in the 11 speed cassette.
