I once had a teacher who had no arms :] it was really amazeing to see her go about her job opening doors and writeing on the bord with her toes and such. she was a veryy good teacher prolly one of my favorites.
If she wants a companion I'm sure she could have one, but the point is she can do eveything herself. Her dexterity is awesome, handling something as small as a key. She rocks
i think you're right because i'm right handed and when i'm carrying a bunch of things and i try to open the door with my foot i balance on my right leg because it's stronger and i grab it with my left foot.
People helping such persons ought to advice them to use the shoulders and the mouth for doing things, too, in order to be careful about the back and hip joint. For, it is use saving the precious ability to walk and grip with the feet as long as possible without Ops at back and hip joints. Persons who are also without (full) legs do use mouth and shoulders, too. Furthermore, support items ought to be as cheap as possible but nevertheless effective!
