Great video accept my stove is slightly different. It only has two screws underneath the sheet metal by the burner knobs.. also there are some rubber gaskets that keep the switch from moving. One of the rubber gasket came out and the switch came out also. What this video did give me was a confidence to take apart my stove and jerry-rigged a washer to keep the igniter switch in place. Again excellent video
Excellent video. One tip. If any of your burner continues to spark when it's in the OFF position there might be nothing wrong with the switch assembly. Simply follow the video and check that the switch is in it's correct position and securely seated in its place. That is what happened to me. BTW, LG Canada customer service, just terrible.
I have the very same stove in the video but only one of the burners is not sparking. Will the repair in the video fix this problem for just one burner? It is the rear left burner that is not sparking.
Same Herr, same back left. Would love a response as I believe it is more the individual module that needs replacing although i have no experience and am guessing.
Did you ever figure this out? I’m wondering if this fixes the issue when one or two burners are not sparking. In my case it’s the two right burners. Its odd because they work some times especially if I remove the burner caps and base from the left side of the range.
All of my burners light except for one. I already replaced that burner's spark module, but it didn't help. Would one burner not working be symptomatic of this piece being faulty as well? Thanks!
@@bryanlofton9572 yes, replacing the switch assembly worked for me. The burner that didn't work for me was the front right one, which is the last one in the string of the switch assembly.
This video was a great help, I replaced the harness and still not getting any spark at the burners , any troubleshooting tips for getting spark - no click coming when turn knobs gas is flowing but no ignition
If there's no clicking, does it also affect the oven, because I have no clicking sound for my burners and my oven doesn't turn on. I have a Samsung stove.
I have a Samsung gas range and when one knob is turned to use just a burner,it is all the burner's igniter that keeps sparking. What could probably be the reason.
Excellent video. Very clear instruction and video. The job went exactly as you described.

+ewnaly Thank you for the feedback.
Sadly, so is the LG in the US
Thank you for this tip!! That is exactly what it was...no parts, just my labor! Very good video. Procedure and your video were clear and accurate.

Yes mine worked fine after I installed the part.
Would this be a potential solution for a range where all igniters are continuously firing even when knobs are turned off?

Did you ever figure this out? I have a similar issue and am wondering if it’s the burner switch or the spark spark module.

Replacing the Broiler igniter for lg gas range
Would that cause all of the knobs not to spark? Would that still be the same issue?

The other part that may need to be replaced is the "spark module". It's about the size of a cigarette carton. Look for its model number.
No fire at inginter
My KitchenAid / whirlpool bake /oven will sometimes spark but will never light / fire up? I replaced the safety valve and that did not fix it?
