I'm 70 years old, and Ruger has been my favorite brand since I shot my first buck with the .44 mag carbine when I was 17 (I still have it). I'm a retired cop now, and my very first duty weapon was a Ruger Security Six. So we have a long, loving history. LOL My husband thinks I don't know, but he bought me this rifle in the 6.5 Creedmore for Christmas. I can't wait to shoot it! I have a friend who has the same rifle, and he loves it. I have a Weatherby 6.5 Creedmore, and I love that gun. Took a nice 8-point buck with it last January. But the Ruger is a little lighter, has a thicker recoil pad and a cheek pad, has a 10 round mag, and the bolt action on the Ruger is smoother. I know, 'cos I played with it in the store. I can't tell you how it shoots yet, but it's a Ruger! I know I'll love it.😊
Great Rifle. I love Ruger. Have got three of them, a SR1911, a Ruger American Rifle in .308 and the Ruger MPR 556. All together are great. Thanks of Your Video Al. Be safe with my best wishes and greetings from Austria.
Can’t go wrong with Ruger American rifles. Thanks for the video. Btw, I have two, a standard American and the compact Predator both in 308. Fantastic deer guns.
Nice rifle, wouldn't mind picking one of those up. I have a Ruger American Rifle in 22 WMR and it's a wonderful rifle. Quite possibly my favorite bolt action in my collection.
I have a Ruger American G2 Ranch model in 350 Legend , I’m using Hornady American Whitetail 170 grain, I’m really looking forward to taking some deer this season with it , great looking rifles , enjoy your review Al 👍
That's what caught my eye in the store. I don't usually go for "fancy" guns, but this is just such a pretty weapon. I couldn't resist, and the price is excellent.
Same here, with a Leupold 1.5-5 LPVO. Even with old Russian ammo it’s easily, believe it or not, a 1 MOA rifle. With its 16.1” barrel it is handy and relatively light. This little Ranch rifle is my favorite knockabout rifle, not that I knockabout much.
The reason I subscribed is just this man's demeanor and light heartedness. He seems like a genuinely cool due. After much thought, I decided to make my first bolt action a 223. It is a big enough round to take care of whatever is on your property in Indiana (where I live), and It shares ammo with my AR. Also, a significantly cheaper round to shoot over .308 or 30-06.
I've got the same exact rifle and I love it. When I saw that rifle at my LGS I had to have it. I've got excellent results neck sizing my brass, using Hornady 69 grain fmj bullets over H335 powder.
Hickok 45 thought he had to explain that 20 yards was sixty feet for his friends in KY. But don't take that the wrong way. I have lots of friends from KY and they are good, smart people. Thanks for the video. Thinking of getting a Ruger American in 308 Winchester.
Gotta love those Ruger SKU's AKA stock keeping units, I'm holding out for the new Ruger they're going to call the Barcode. Seriously you about made me fall out of my chair when you said that. 😁👍
That's a muzzle brake ( for all the good it does a .223) ...actually increasing flash and blast ,but may act as a stabilizer! Very attractive rifle! Should be capable of great precision!
I just bought one of these in 300bo and I'm picking it up today. Can't wait to slap my suppressor on it. Got it to slow down burning through all my 300bo ammo 😁 but I got a feeling this thing is going to be too much fun.
My Gen 1 chambered in 7.62x39 is sub-MOA all day at 100 yards, even with somewhat cheap steel case ammo! Ruger has got something with these little rifles, and I may need one of the Gen 2s in the future.
NICE RIFLE Al.. BY THE WAY, HOW ARE YA FEELING BROTHERMAN?? HOPE YA ARE FEELING BETTER THESE DAYS AL!!!! HOPE YA BACK IS DOING BETTER!!!! TAKE CARE OF YA SELF AL.... " GOD BLESS YA BROTHERMAN "!!!! Howard M. 🤠🤠 😉🤟🤘👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🤠🤠
Lol, picked up mine 3 weeks ago and put on a Vortex scope on too .. Only issue I have is COAL measurement using an AR mag 2.250" long so loading 75-77 grains projectiles don't fit .. be well ..
Yes, it is a stocking number for that particular rifle it actually tells the exact barrel size and all the details about the rifle to the retailer, and if you were purchasing one it till the retailer that exact model. It’s the model code. 👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Sorry man, I’ve tried watching the video 6 times now and every time JewTube puts ads up at 1:06 and at 4:20. You need to get with them about reducing the number of ads. Either before or after the video. No way I should be seeing 12+ ads trying to watch a 9min video. Hopefully your next video is better.
I enjoy your videos. I laughed when you said "it's a SKU". Great video.
Also called the muzzle break a flash suppressor. Adios

The American ranch rifle would have been one of the first ones I bought. Had I known they existed at the time. 😂

I have a Ruger American G2 Ranch model in 350 Legend , I’m using Hornady American Whitetail 170 grain, I’m really looking forward to taking some deer this season with it , great looking rifles , enjoy your review Al 👍
What an absolutely beautiful rifle. Love the twisted barrel and muzzle break at the end.
That's what caught my eye in the store. I don't usually go for "fancy" guns, but this is just such a pretty weapon. I couldn't resist, and the price is excellent.
I have a 1st generation model in 7.62 x 39 that I mounted a budget scope on for now. I like the short action and barrel. Thanks for posting.

Love it!!!
Just wish theyd make it in 22-250 rather than pushing all the hornady chamberings.
I have the same rifle
Like the video, nice guy
If iam not mistaken..every manufacturer makes a sku model!!
New subscriber.
I want to thank you for subscribing to the channel. I really appreciate that you take care and have a most wonderful day.👍👍👍👍👍👍
Just like a woman is pretty in red, you look good beside a box with red writing.
What’s the difference in a flash depressor and a muzzle brake?
a flash hider does just that...hides the muzzle flash, a muzzle brake reduces the recoil of the rifle.
I don’t know why gun manufactures don’t put iron sights on bolt guns any more
Cheap . If they do they are plastic.
I have the Ruger in 270. It too is pretty accurate
Gotta say, I’m a big fan of the Olight products, got the PL PRO VALKYRIE on my S&W 5” 9mm
I like 223
I like that it takes AR mags 👍🏽
Nice rifel,thanks al
Being left handed pretty much takes me out of the bolt action game. It certainly is a nice rifle though Al.
@loneranger6016 they do, but finding one is extremely rare. I stuck to lever actions and a few semis.
❤❤❤
I like my 10/SKU also. 😂
👍
"SKU".....lol
I'm still a big fan of the m77
Witam i pozdrawiam 🤠🤠🤠
thank you
Lol sku is the number of the stocked item not the one for the rifle, love you brother honest mistake
Yes, it is a stocking number for that particular rifle it actually tells the exact barrel size and all the details about the rifle to the retailer, and if you were purchasing one it till the retailer that exact model. It’s the model code. 👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
I just forgot to mention the code number Sorry about that.
What’s the name of this rifle it is a 223 caliber
Nice house down range. Anybody live there?
What type of ears do you have on? I have been following your channel for a bit, maybe you never mentioned or maybe i missed it?
I have dozens of Ruger firearms. All too notch quality. Wish I could AFFORD a Ruger Marlin lever action but at $1250????? Nope, ouya my reach. Sadly
