Thank you, everyone, for all your comments and support! I've never openly talked about this with anyone except a few very close people, so I was pretty nervous about it. But the more I thought about it the more I wanted to share it with you all. It's been just over a decade now, but I can still remember how it all felt. I'm thankful every day for my Savior and hope we can all come to know Him and the power of His atonement a little more each day!

AMEN!!! God’s love for each of US, YOU, and I, is PERFECT! Without bounds! Sadly, Not all parents love there children unconditionally. I know my Mom has always Loved me unconditionally. Sin can make us want to hide from God’s love. Repentance is the way back to knowing and feeling that love. It lets us love and be loved by others. Thanks so much for your testimony! Appreciate this honesty. Agree with your experiences. I have lived similarly. Knowing that light of Christ and the joy of repentance. I cannot deny it. We all faulter. But, in the Lord we can all rise again and again. And come to know of a surety. That God lives and loves all. That Jesus lives and is forever reaching out. We need to reach for Him and follow Him. I've had similar experiences as you have described and I have often wondered how much of the anguish and shame was of my own making the programming of my enviroment from the time I was a kid. Do people of other religions experience similar feelings when they violate their religions Tennant's even if they are different than the LDS's?
Yes they do. You don’t have to be LDS to know and feel God’s love for you. And to miss it when you try to hide from God. Trust the things that God’s love has confirmed in your heart.
Why follow a religion that makes you feels “terrible” for “going to far” I guess sex. I just don’t get it. “Chains on my chest” “I believe God Hated me” for what!!? “God love you until you sin” wake up!
