    This is the cleaned audio?
    I'm sure a lot of work went into this. Thanks for making it releasable!

    SU&SD has an uncanny ability to make observations about games from a 50,000 foot perspective. I watch tons of game channels, only you guys bring the caliber of perspective I've come to appreciate so much.

    That was really enjoyable, thank you for posting it for those of us who couldn't make it. +1 for another Sean Bean podcast...and I really really hope Matt didn't die that night or his ghost is amazingly opaque.

    To the gentleman who asked about transitioning from board games to RPGS, two options:
    1. Try a DM-less RPG! Fiasco is good, and it's easy to find others. Everyone can get involved and there's no pressure focal point.
    2. Start with an RPG designed to be short, spontaneous, and admin light. My first DMing experience was running the free one-page RPG Lasers and Feelings and we were all laughing crying every time we played. L&F can be started from scratch in about ten minutes with 3 regular dice total. I've played stories that lasted 2 hours and stories that lasted 4 sessions.
    I'm still new so the only other advice I can give is to watch someone play a game if you're not sure you'll like it. Videos abound. Good luck!

    The questions in this were brilliant, it shows the quality of the SHUX experience was partly to do with those who went as well as to do with the people who ran it.

    Curiosity got the better of me I went in search of this fabled 'rude' mug...
    It was actually much easier to find than i expected.

      Um where did you find it exactly? My curiosity took the better of me aswell, but I seem to be having a harder time finding it than what you had...

      Joe Kingsriter Arkham Horror the card game. Around 4.30. I think I had rewatched the video recently and I specifically remembered it containing mugs in it.. so I went there first. =)

    The Inis review (th-cam.com/video/ElcG-_-gfxo/w-d-xo.html) is also my faviorite. I'm glad it's not just me.

    Not sure who the lady is, but she seems fun and cute.
    *Edit: 20:50 Cynthia, an RPG writer?

      She working for Fantasy Flight Games, a represented from their RPG department I believe. Not sure what precisely she's in charge of, despite playing edge of the empire for about 5 years.

    Yeah, doing reviews in pairs is really weird. Siskel and Ebert only ran for HOW long?

    • @TomosANTIGUATomos
      @TomosANTIGUATomos 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would argue Siskel and Ebert never actually reviewed as a pair. One gave a review, then the other either agreed or challenged them with their own opinion. They never wrote together. That's not a joint review, it's two proximate reviews.

    RE: Games with just 1 change - The original WoW boardgame would feel better as a full coop IMO. All we'd really need is tighter turn limit or other fail condition.

      At no point did we mention Critical Role, much less malign them.

    • @WarpedLord
      @WarpedLord 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      My mistake! When you mentioned Tabletop and how some of the people on there don't seem to really care as much (which is totally true), my sleep-deprived brain apparently interpreted it as Critical Role instead of Tabletop. Sorry!
