Fury of Dracula is the first board game I've bought in 10 years and your vids were main reason I was convinced. Keep up the good work. PS. Doesn't the maturing of vampire bride supposed to increase the Vampire track in top right corner, and not the day/night counter.
@56:50 you added a +1 to the assassins roll for previous dodge even though he actually didn't win the previous round. There are other comments about that in later combat but since this is the first instance of the mistake it makes sense to point it out. Given that the hunter had the higher initiative it ended up with the same result but still.
well, it wouldn't be an ameritrash game without some sort of rules dispute! :) we've only played the game a handful of times over the years and i can't remember a win loss ratio. the most recent time we played, jen won (as dracula) when she cornered nina and worked her over to advance the timer and win :)
also in hard version before fight (random Vampire) role a die. :D 1 Its a crap-pire the ones in the game :D 2 its a Children of the night, combat is made regularly and dracula heals 2, (hunter fighting this suffer 2 damage X = the number of bites made by this minion) 3 it Soul collector 3/4 if this vampire manages to bite a hunter dracula control the hunter until 2 tuns it can attack other hunters (hunter fighting this suffer 3 damage X = the number of bites made by this minion) 4 Its a Vampire Noctutnus deal 3 damage to the first hero attempting to fight it, as long its not defeated all other Vampires in each encounter do 2 more damage to all characters before combat. 5 Its a Sengir Vampire 2 hunter needed to combat this if 1 hunter attempts to fight it the combat counts as 2 role and the Vampire stays.(hunter fighting this suffer 4+X damage X = the number of bites made by this minion) 6 its a Sangire baron 3 hunters are needed to fight it. if 1,2 hunter attempts to fight it the combat counts as 2 role and the Vampire stays. At 57:17 I don't get it why Dracula would want to play Relentless Minion. That just gave Lord Godalming another try, as his turn would have been over if that card had not been played. That way he would have been forced to spend another turn trying to defeat the agent (?) Or am I wrong here?
I agree, the only reason I could see the point in that move (if it is legal according to the whole assassin/minion debate) would be if the hunter was low on health and you wanted to go in for the kill.

So when a city in dracula's trail leaves the trail does the encounter on it mature or does the city become a catacomb with the encounter still on it? Or does Dracula choose either?

Its Dracula's choice. If it goes to the Catacombs, Dracula can place a 2nd encounter on it so twice the traps, plus some encounters don't have a mature effect. Of course, if its in his catacombs then that city isn't put back in his deck to travel through again. Only 3 cards can go into the catacombs.

rahdo I wouldn't say dufus. You were playing four hunters and trying to play Dracula as covert as possible. That's a LOT to keep track of while filming and giving us rules explanations. I for one commend your hard work. My game collection has grown quite a bit from your videos. They've either opened my eyes to new games I didn't know of or swayed me on ones I was unsure of. However, great runthrough on such a complex game while managing five players! I'd like to know, what's the general score between you and Jen on this game? Who wins more often?
Can Mina walk from Bordeaux to Paris? Or, did she have to take a train? I don't own the game, just by watching the video it looks like no walkway. @ 16:10

Also as I understood so far does Van Helsing have to encounter the Minion @36:20 by going to cologne? @1:09:55 you forgot Mina's Dodge +1 but as I can hardly see, but it doesn't matter because the initiative of Escape is higher and so the endresult is the same. hope that helps.
Dave Rowan I've played letters from white chapel a few times. I think I was always Jack. Though maybe once I played the investigators. I love the tension being Jack gives you. Especially as you hear the heroes table talk and they are planning a route that will find you or box you in. Lol. My biggest weakness as Jack is not utilizing my mini map as much as I should and look at the main board too much. I try to be subtle and yet someone, One player in particular tracks my eye movements so I try to vary where I look. I wish jacks screen was dry erase so Jack could mark it up and rely less on the main board. Imo. I think I came close to winning as Jack. Never sure I did. But it was close. It is a fun game and am intrigued about fury.

You can't use dodge in the first turn in a combat. It's written on the Dodge Card. Or I am wrong ?
