also i'm not usually interested in tbr videos bc booktubers usually just show what they decided to read so big thanks for actually including the process of choosing - i think that's much more engaging to watch
i need to reorganize my goodreads shelves! what a great idea to create a priority tbr. also, i vote for ascension by nicholas binge getting moved from maybe to want to read. 😁 it’s quite a blend of genres that worked well for me, and the pages turned themselves. happy reading everyone!
I’m 1min 20sec into the video and I’m so excited now. I too love a list and organization. I’m already making plans to reorganize my GR. My want to read is 1,151! 😬 And that doesn’t include any I own because I have an exclusive shelf for owned TBR 😂
Inkheart is one of my favorite books from middle grade. Percy Jackson and Harry Potter obviously as well. Newer great books for Middle Grade: Keeper of the Lost Cities. School for Good and Evil. Amari and the Night Brothers.
I have something similar but not quite so detailed. I have around 800 on my tbr and 80 on my high priority tbr. I’m getting so many good ideas for shelve organising in this video.
watching you do this is me! I approach my Want to Read the same way. LOL Ok now you need prioritize your priority list. What is your top 10? Wishing Game and Writing Retreat -- YES
I love this (probably unnecessarily) in-depth process of creating a priority TBR hahaha. And great to see some selfpub love on here, I think you'll really enjoy Burn Red Skies! A Touch of Light is also incredible, one of my personal faves! Happy reading Jessie 🥰🥰
You have a dream want to read shelf, I love organizing goodreads but I’ve been on it too long to go back and remove old books I lost interest in lol (upwards of 900)
This is a fascinating video. Seeing your thought process is fun. The Enigma of Rm 622 is long and dense but it’s a fairly easy audiobook because characters and settings are limited. I’ve rarely read anything that twisted as hard as this book though. It’s incredibly satisfying to piece it all together. I loved it.
Your TBR is so detailed! 😮 This is a revelation!!! 😂 I only have the basic settings (want to read, currently reading and read basically) and your video is inspiring me to organize my shelves. I have days of work cut out for me!😮
I think I saw Ship of Magic on your TBR list. I just finished it. It’s is so good! Slow at first but stick with it. Worth it for sure. Look forward to more of your reviews.
I had so much fun looking at all your possibilities and have a better idea of how widely you read (I do too!). Because of you, I've created a while ago a similar system on my Goodreads page and I have around 70 books on my priority list and 184 books on my "want to read" (I haven't created a "maybe list" just a "next reads" which are my top top priority -- I also have a "physical TBR" shelf ☺️). I didn't know some people compared The Book That Wouldn't Burn to Piranesi. Piranesi was not my cup of tea personally, but I'm still very much intrigued by Mark Lawrence's new release! I've also read and loved A Shadow In Summer and can't wait to continue on LPQ! The writing style was so immersive (he really made his world come alive!) and the character work was phenomenal (I can't wait to know where they end up!). 👌
I love the sound of so many of these books- and wanted to give a special shout-out to Inkheart. When I was a kid, Inkheart was so important to me, I loved the world and the characters- I love seeing it on your list! I also LOVED In Order to Live and Crying in H Mart, PHENOMENAL memoirs, I know you’ll love them and are good uses of spots on your lists! Awesome video and very satisfying to watch as a fellow list lover haha! :)
Hope you had a good weekend Jessie with your family and completing your self care goals xoxo 😘 🩵📙💛📙🩵🏝️🏝️🩵📙💛🩵📚🏝️🩵📙💛💛🌞🌞🌞💛📙🏝️📚📚📚🏝️📖📖🏝️📚📚📚🏝️🩵📙💛💛🌞🌞💛🏝️📚🏝️🏝️📖📖📚🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️🩵🩵🩵📙💛💛🌞📙📙📙🏝️📖📖🏝️📚📚📚🏝️🩵📙📙💛

i have the same kind of convoluted priority rank system👍 mood reader? as in choosing what fits my mood best from my carefully curated highest priority 50 books list?
I DNF'd Kings of Paradise on page 1, but that's because the opening scene has cannibalism and I was like "nope, not in the mood for that". I know many loved that book, but if that's the opener, I had a feeling it wasn't for me. I think First Law is about the level of grim dark I prefer. Warrior Girl Unearthed is really good and great follow-up to Firekeeper's Daughter. Even if the plot doesn't grab you, it shines a light on very important topics that are criminally overlooked. Carrie Soto is Back is also surprisingly good. I didn't love Malibu Rising, so make expectations were low. Recommend the audiobook for that one. And yes, read Crying in H Mart. Great memoir.
I really liked the library at mount char!!! I don’t reread often but I’ve said multiple times that I’d like to reread that at some point, im just waiting to forget more about the plot!

ive been wantin to organize my goodreads tbr, ive all of the books in one category lol lowkey u are making me wanna do this like u said a tbr list of books that i wanna read soon ish/ that ive plan to read this year still like i wanna try to read the king of scars duology this year and stolen heir and crescent city first 2 books (which im startin the first one tonight) and other popular books out rn that i wanna read soon too like forth wing (very curious about it) , also kinda wanna organize it by genre, like fantasy, contemporary romance, scifi. i think i already have a list for survival/post apocalyptic books and one for dnf , maybe i couldve one for certain series like a list for sarah j maas books and one for cassandra clare (im almost caught up on these 2) but in it i would add the books ive read only and the unread ones would go into fantasy. oh yeh also maybe a list of my actual physical tbr, and list of tbr books i wanna buy soon.. but all this might be too confusing at times. huu i see uve a maybe tbr thats a good idea too. also netgalley review tbr ive some ebooks from netgalley i need to read but ughh idk when ill get around to read em bc i havent been feelin like readin ebooks bc last year i was just readin netgalley ebooks so i got super burnt now. huuu also that book u added last deep space sounds good im lowkey interested but its adult which im i dont usually read but im slowly startin to accept adult or new adult books (idk sometimes if a book is adult or new adult lol) into my tbr and wantin to read em so i think im gonna add that one
The Measure by Nikki Erlick I thought was really great if you haven’t read it. I haven’t stopped thinking about that one. I loved it and thought it worth the hype. It really was my biggest surprise so far this year
It was very interno see you organize your lists, you inspired me to organize my TBR too 😂 I am also a bit obsessed with lists, I do lists for everything!!! Can’t wait to see what you think about the books on your priority TBR, some interesting choices there. Just wanted to give you a recommendation for a memoir if you need one😅 Know my Name is one of my favorite memoirs ever and I think it is something everyone should read, it is so important. And the audiobook is great as it is read by Chanel Miller herself, so emotional 🥲
Your organization is on point! I was going to suggest a mystery/thriller but it looks like your current TBR list is already stocked hahah. Great video!
I had to removed Small Favors from my TBR becuz i had recently finished A History of Wild Places and haaaated the ending! Was told Small Favors had a polarizing ending too.
I didn’t like Inkheart, but I read it as an adult, so maybe that’s why? Also, I’m interested to see what you think of The Wishing Game. I was very excited for it, but was pretty disappointed. It’s sweet, but it’s less game and more character.
I do it all digital because I’m so horrible at artsy type stuff! I tried a physical reading journal one year and making it super pretty and it never ended up being as pretty as I wanted it to be so I got tired of it lol!!
Hi Jessie! I'm a recent subscriber and I love all of your videos, you are amazing! Also, I would love a "is this book worth the hype" video. PS : I did not enjoy The Writing Retreat, I could not connect with the characters, so I'm curious to know what you think of it!

One hundred years of Lenni and Margot is a super good literary/contemporary book that I would highly recommend. 🎉
I LOVE Cargill’s Day Zero and Sea of Rust! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
I hear that little angel in the background ❤

I completely copied this system for myself, I've not dared to look on my goodreads want to read all year. Down to 40 now from 400 😊 thank you
