Definitely the biggest place for golf gear - but there aint no bargains there. We visited this week and the prices were not 'as claimed' by many people. 99% of the shops only sell new gear, and the used gear aint no bargain. But if you want to see all the options in one place - this is the place to go.
In Thailand, golf isn't a game for the average person it is a domain of the rich. Just look at the cost of a round of golf. Purchasing equipment in pro shops at the course is ridiculously expensive and even the shops at the driving ranges are expensive. There are a few golf shops dotted around but again they aren't cheap. Lazada is the place for budget prices however you run the risk of fake equipment imported from China which are almost undistinguishable from the real thing other than performance. I would be interested if anyone has any tips for where to go for cheap golf equipment in Thailand as I'm still looking.
@@maddogsandenglishmentravel There is nowhere to go for cheap golf gear in Thailand. It is like new cars - massively over-priced and there are no consumer laws to ensure competition or accountability. I recommend visiting a country where the PGA controls golf (not in Thailand etc.) and the marketing and selling of equipment through their members is safe. We bought all our gear in Australia then brought it over on the plane as personal luggage.Korea or Japan are options, but their gear is tailored for the smaller people there - OK for the ladies not for us western blokes.
@@DennisdeRuiterrrr it really depends what you are looking for but you are just as likely to get a good deal on new clubs in your own country than in Thaniya Plaza, Bangkok. There are some reasonable second hand deals at this golf shopping mall from time to time. You can purchase cheap clubs from Lazada Shopping App in Thailand but you can't guarantee that they will always be genuine.
If you are looking for reasonably priced polo shirts, hats etc. then try the following MBK Centre, Bobae Tower, Platinum Fashion Mall, Pratunam Market or Chatuchak Weekend Market but be prepared to haggle on the price. To be honest there are so many places in Bangkok to get cheap golf attire.
I worked in Thailand from 2006-2009, and Thaniya Plaza WAS the place to go for used japanese golf clubs. Now no more.
Thank you for your contribution. One stop shopping but very few bargains available now. I remember Thaniya Plaza from 15/20 years back

That is a pretty fair summary of Thaniya Plaza. Convenience due to everything in one place but primarily targeting Japanese market so it isn't cheap.

Do you know of any places in Bangkok selling fake golf attire (shirts and hat)?
