Might be a stupid question but in the first couple clips where Peter was hitting the ground but not taking damage, was that with the fall damage setting on and you just weren't falling far enough or is that just the normal animation for hitting the ground now?
This is what you call realism and attention to detail, even a person of Spider-Man’s strength would endure a great level of damage from those lengths, and the fact that they made it optional is amazing.

The map size has been doubled, both traversal and combat have been upgraded (web wings, parry system and new animations), there are new abilities, you can play as both Peter and Miles, side content has been improved, graphics have been significantly upgraded and, of course, there is a new story with new characters.

I tried but Really difficult to show that in a video. While playing I can clearly understand the difference. You have to be pin point in your direction sense with 0 swing assist
That was one thing I really loved about the first ASM game, the battle damage to the suit over time was so badass, especially when you really had a difficult fight with a Smythe drone lol it added to the feel you just survived this massive battle in my opinion!

At the risk of getting accused of getting what we asked for and still complaining... he takes fall damage and does the bouncing-off-the-ground animation from a lot lower altitude than I was expecting/hoping. I mean he still is Spider-Man, so a lot of those falls he should have been able to land no problem. Now jumping off the Empire State Building, by all means, he can completely die from that, but just like 8 stories high? Spider-Man 2 (2004), Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man 3 and Web of Shadows I feel all had the perfect balance of still being able to land on his feet from a decent height, but having the faceplant/fall damage animation start at also an appropriate height. I wonder if there's a slider like there is for swing steering assist, but that's probably wishful thinking. This isn't a skill thing, I just want the best of both worlds.
I am amazed by the fact that GTA V was the only which introduced character switching, and till to this day no game has ever implemented it and even if they did, the switching animation isn't as smooth as GTA V. A odd comment but bravo R*

Damn fast travel is insane, you should have been trying: staying in the complete south and fast travel to the complete north of the map ^^ and see how fast it would be
I never got why ppl wanted fall damage. Due to newtons 3rd law, it makes complete sense that spiderman isnt damaged when falling. Assuming he doesnt fall long enough for the force exerted on him to be greater than whatever maximum force he can output, he should be relatively fine
@kixer7957 its good that they have the option. I personally don't care as long as the games fun. Just seems confusing in terms of a logistical standpoint.
I feel like the slingshot speed should actually be his normal speed when swinging on Spiderman ps4 the swing speed is a bit slow due to hardrive and hardware limitations but in the ps5 those limitations have been removed there's ssd and better cpu and gpu so the swing speed should be much much faster

Super slingshot is just at certain points. The normal slingshot can be performed pretty much anywhere.
