Hi Alfonsus! A sound engineer I am not, but I'll try to explain what I do. Because I'm recording the vocal and guitar through my Rode mic simultaneously and not setting the levels independently, I will usually play into the mic with my headphones on and experiment with my position in relation to the mic until I hear a mix I like. For this song, I set the mic level to capture the low end vocal and softer guitar -- this way I could be close to the mic and get a clear/crisp sound without much 'room noise'. The tricky part was when I would go into the higher end vocal, the mic would clip or distort from that close of range and mic level. You'll see me turn to the side during the chorus, as a work around to clipping the mic. That's me "mixing" the vocal and guitar, ha! It's not perfect, but it worked in the case. After I record, I dial in the EQ as best I can and add some compression/reverb (less is more). Hope this helps, cheers!
