    As always ... your tips are really great. Clear, concise , easily assimilated and full of important information with the theory behind the exercise explained then ridden to demonstrate. You are doing a fantastic job. I would love to come for lessons with you but I live in New Zealand ... sigh.
    Thank you for putting the effort in to produce these Miri. They are really invaluable as schooling tools and we are lucky to be benefitting from all your years of experience.
    Did Loki (?) find a home ?
    He is a rangy boy ... how tall please ... and what level did he achieve with his dressage ?

    Thank you, this really helped me start my boy on jumping, he gets a little nervous at the jumps so I've also gotten a trainer to help me as well!

    This is a great video. My horse always does things slowly and always trots over the jump or even slows down and walks over it and doesn't actually jump it. Any tips to get him to actually jump?

    I know I'm a little late to this video but, I have a question. When you do the jump do you lean forward for more momentum or do you stay back, and relaxed?

    • @lydiahodges8648
      @lydiahodges8648 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You would always get into two point position which is forward and up as this is better on your horse' back and easier to stay on over jumps

  • @chloethomas4603

    i have a question that ive been not sure about for ages now , when going over the jump do you keep your hands up in the air or do you wrest them on the horses neck because ive seen different people do different things ?!.

    • @AstridSilentbaker37
      @AstridSilentbaker37 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Keep them on the horses neck, it gives you balance , etc.

    Would it be better for me to start with heavier or lighter poles

    • @krystalhenderson6364
      @krystalhenderson6364 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends, has your horse jumped before? If yes then dosent really matter but if he hasn't then probably heavier since if it's lighter and he knocks it, then he will learn that he can just knock it and it will just fall and yeah but if it's heavier, then they will learn that they have to pick up their feet, and they can't knock it over

    • @Camphorous

      Don't worry about conformation. It doesn't matter until upper levels.
      Focus on a horse that has experience and training.
