Just bought this model a month ago. It's an absolute beast. Made getting through this last Noreaster a breeze. Never has getting through plowed in driveways been so easy! One pull start every time, warm hands, just a great unit!

Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.

Any Ariens snowblower just sounds sooo good, and it’s just sooo satisfying to watch it shoot the snow and see how far it can shoot it. Thank you for making videos like this, and making great videos of tips and tricks. God Bless!

I found the same Ariens 30" EFI snow blower at Home Depot on clearance for $900 (originally $1799) a few weeks ago. It appears the store had it for a couple years based on the clearance tag, the build date on the snow blower and the store didn't exactly take care of it. I spoke with the outdoor power equipment manager, where he said if I was interested in the EFI snow blower he'll sell it for $500 because they can't get it started and planned to send it to the local Ariens dealer to get fixed. So, I purchased the blower, took it home, threw it up in it's service position, disassembled, cleaned everything inside and out, cleaned the rust off on the internal/external parts, re-greased, re-charged the battery and threw fresh fuel in it. Guess what... the snow blower started on the first pull. Also, the push button starter works with no issues as well. We haven't had much snow here in Maryland to test the blower, but like you, I made paths in the yard for the dogs. I also cleared the driveway of all the slush and ice. This snow blower even throws the slush/wet snow and ice with no issues. Works great!

Ariens is absolutely my favorite snowblower brand for our current year. I have a pro 21 single stage. And i pushed it through a full foot of snow that was hard packed with chunks of solid ice. I had to push then reset and push and reset and push. But it ate right through all of that stuff. Never even killed it, but she was grunting!!!!

I helped my friend pick up the same blower at Home Depot several weeks ago. I will say I am thoroughly impressed with the EFI and the build of the blower even coming from a box store. We ripped through the drifts and heavy wind rows and it didn't quit. If I didn't have my Gravelys and Honda, I'd grab the Ariens myself!

I work for a local, small town lumber yard and hardware store that is run by a local lady. We have over doubled our business in the last year and are continuing on the same path already only a month and a half in to 2021! We are trying to expand further and have a wide variety of Milwaukee products and currently have a variety of Ariens snow blowers in our store. Our hopes is to expand in to their lawn mowers. Even Stihl products down the rode too. I would LOVE to be able to use your review videos to help advertise for these products we have!

I've owned a 2016 ariens platinum sho 24" and I do love it for starting. The power is awesome. I have yet to see it stop because of to much snow. I love hearing the governor kick in and power through any size drift. It's also fuel efficient. Ariens builds the best snowblower that I've ever used. They put a lot of thought into building them. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one but I wouldn't have to. Maintaining them is the key to longevity. Great video.

I’ve owned 2 Ariens snow blowers over the past 20 years, only purchasing a new one when the area being cleared increased.
The first was an 8-24 which I loved. Easy to operate and very agile. My driveway was 90’x12’ with a 75’x3’ sidewalk. I added onto the driveway when building a new garage and started taking care of the elderly neighbors on both sides of me. Time for something bigger.
Purchased the 11-28 commercial unit and it got used twice in 3 years due to no snow. The following year, we got slammed with three blizzards in 10 days, 60” total snowfall.
Moved from the city to the sticks where we get more snow, I’m getting older and it’s looking like it’s time for a plow blade for the Toro zero turn.
What’s with Ariens and the Chinesium engines? No Briggs, Koehler or Honda?
Owning snow removal equipment is a blessing and curse. All of a sudden, you’ve got new friends you never knew you had.

I love Ariens mowers and snow blowers. They make solid built products. I had a Ariens rear motor riding mower that I bought new. I cut 1.5 acres, twice a week, for 10 years in Florida. When I moved to a small northern lot, I put it up for sale. A guy with a lawn service saw me using it for several years and was thrilled to buy it from me. The rider looked new, and had a trouble free Briggs I/C engine so I was able to sell it for almost what I paid for it. ! BTW, of course I bought a great running, Ariens snow blower to take care of the snow in Ohio.

I picked up a '78 Ariens 7hp 24". I knew it needed a head gasket. Guy said he knew what happened & shut it down quickly. I paid $60 for it. I also changed points, condenser & plug for less than $30. Then I found the impeller shaft bearing was gone, That was about $20 with beriing cover. Then I made my own chains out 5/16" chain links, short across tread & long on sides with a couple trunbuckles to keep them tight. That was about $40. I also added 1/4" reinforced rubber pads to impeller blades. It always started on 1st start for me although sometimes need to tweak the mixture screw on the carburetor but runs great other wise. Arien's definately makes good machines. So for About $150 plus some paint as the rims were rusty so I cleaned them up and then cut a piece of my bicycle inner tube to protect the tire tube. Thanks for sharing.

could have used it yesterday up here in Northeast (Suburbs NW of Boston). I do snow removal, plow, snowblower & shovel. this season im using an Ariens, I think 26"/15T 2 stage, ( a couple yrs old) for heavy stuff (I use a Honda 7/20 one stage for lighter) . It did great with very heavy, wet 8-16" of snow. I am so impressed with how far it throws, its ability to cut into plowed banks & it never clogged with conditions from 5" near slush to 16" heavy dense snowman snow. compared to other brand new machines i have purchased it kicks a, if you know what i mean. I was actually impressed with the fuel consumption already (I think efficient design, well made & with enough power to not tax machine). Now EFI on top of that. Hey I need one of those myself. I found the last one on a list service for free (someone fleeing for warmer weather), I have a new goal. Scrappers never want, we just wait.

The gripe I have with them is the problem of not operating properly when the battery runs down some. Arctic Cat, Polaris, and the other snowmobile manufacturers had this same problem way back in the early / mid 90's. It didn't take them long to come up with batteryless efi, and it was a new ball game for them... It really bothers me that Ariens decided to venture into the efi world by using technology that is outdated and was proven to be problematic over 30+ years ago.

If you can't get a carbureted snowblower to start on the second pull, there's something wrong with it or your technique(or it might just have one of those crappy LCT engines on it, in which case you bought the wrong blower).... But for those that aren't a small engine mechanics of 10+ years and might not have the technique know-how, this is a good way to eliminate headaches of learning the right combo of choke, primer, and throttle. Now they just need to put a small 12v lithium motorcycle battery on it and a 12v shift-type starter that way you can have on demand electric start without having to plug it in to an extension cord, seems like something that would be really good for commercial guys, excited to see where they go with this.

TLDR: There's ALWAYS something wrong with small engines. I'll never buy a 2 stroke lawn implement again. (weed whacker, edger, blower, etc. Mower, chainsaw, and cutoff saw is the only thing that I would buy gas because those are more power-hungry than current battery tech can deliver.) Ego battery for me. Smokes the gas stuff, and none of the problems.
