I found out that my dad has been tracking my driving since 2020 LOL. I only found out about it when I demanded how he knew my battery needed to be replaced and I unintentionally put him in a position where he had to tell me. But seriously, what a great thing for parents.

You must be a pretty good driver if you just found out. 🤣

Parents aren't worried about your whereabouts, they are worried about accidents, car theft etc

Will I know if the tracker gets unplugged and plugged back in if the car is turned off?

Does Bouncie keep a history of where a car has been? Or, does one need to watch the navigation in real time? I watched the whole video and it sounds like you said it does. I just want to double check this question.
BTW, this was an efficient, easy to listen to and understand video. Good work!
PS, there's devices called, "OBD2 Male to Dual Female Diagnostic Tool Splitter Extension." The female end gets plugged to your car's OBD port, so that you can relocate it, and one of the two male ends acts as a replacement for the car's original OBD port, while the other male end is for any hidden GPS devices. In other words, this splitter is one piece and allows you to hide any connected GPS devices. Amazon has them.

In the event you want to cancel the service how hard is that. I see the $8 includes a recurring payments.

I'm not sure. I still have it and haven't had to cancel service yet.

I have not had that experience. We have had no problems, but yes it does draw a small amount of power. When the vehicle is off it goes into a hibernation mode and draws and extremely small amount of power.

The problem with the device like this is by the time your kid gets to driving age they're either trustworthy or they're not. If they aren't trustworthy this device is going to be ineffective as they will just figure out ways around it such as parking their car somewhere where they're supposed to be and then taking someone else's car to where they're not. If they are trustworthy then it's unnecessary and counterproductive because proving that you don't trust someone who is trustworthy deincentivizes them to continue to be trustworthy.

ALL kids are untrustworthy, no matter how much you may think they are.

    • @play21lv

In general I would agree about trustworthiness, but it's not that simple. I see Bouncie, with it's array of features, as a safety and training tool for a new teen driver. A new driver needs to build skills, competencies and trust. As a teen improves these and demonstrates good decision-making while driving a vehicle, the tool becomes less important but still useful for its safety features. If a teen demonstrates poor driving skills or poor judgement, it's an opportunity to coach them so they can improve. Any teen that is simply untrustworthy should not be given a car to drive.
