Many temples 🛕 were and there lands were looted by east India company and the mugals muslim rulers and till today we are not able to get it back, think about waqf board still they are claiming more than 50% property in India 2000 year old temples they are claiming then think about 200 or 500 years back how we have struggled

Ofcourse the people involved today have also relied on their belief system that is the books of Sanskrit, etc, where this is visible across the project stage.

2. Why was the focus on moon, why not other parts of the solar system?

4. The young minds always want to be an engineer, IAS, IPS, Dr. However, with the growing achievements of ISRO, the young minds have slowly started jumping to be a scientist. Your thoughts on this, and guidance to the youths.
5. Where do you see ISRO down the line 10 -12 years from now?
6. What are the hidden things or behind the curtains that all of sudden ISRO is turning to be the shinning star?

Lol... Most of the land owned by church was granted to them by British. And Brits took that over from local Kings. Desert cults didn't originate in Indian sub-continent. Most of these land were on lease period and when British rule ended, it was supposed to be returned to state. However, the wonderful secular govt in India ensured that this matter is stalled and not touched upon.
Sasi sir, when I was in class 3, I was so marred to understand the UFO activities reported by Malayala Manorama, happened in Bermuda triangle, it's reported way back I was born, in 1972, I was born in 1978. But i got these newspapers and some english cartoons from somewhere kept in our old granary. I was confident enough even then with some calculations and also knowing Rakesh Sharma's space travel, that India had space expedition capabilities. I even from these newspapers could understand that Indian Ocean was one among the high density magnetic activity spot. I was a regular reader of GDR, Soviet Union and Readers digest as well. I had a library of science, history and arts collection!

Wonderful substantive interview. Comments at the end are very significant. India needs a ten fold increase in mechanical and civil engineers with major improvement in quality of education also. It is not enough to have 1% of the manpower excellent and 10% competent; we need to aim for 20% excellent and 80% competent.
It is very nice to hear Dr. Somanath outline the necessity of privatization of space exploration, even as he heads a very successful and fiscally responsible government agency

What if there was no ISRO? What if there was no engineering college to teach him engineering or a committed teacher who learnt propulsion system himself and then taught his students?
India in last 75 years built institutions which sends such gadgets up in space, built credibility because of which international collaboration is possible, accomdate and harvest such talents and has preserved and potected its temples so that if anyone wants to go there and pray can go and pray. Yet some say- India started after 2014!
