Great video (as always), all of these sound interesting. I've been reading "Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective" lately, and I'm also on the last 50 pages of "Musashi" (the novel by Eiji Yoshikawa), hoping to finish it tonight so I can finally start "Vagabond".
Looks like there is an anime for that series. May have to give it a watch. Think I remember you mentioning Musashi in another video's comments section. Tried to watch the anime a lifetime ago. If it's even the same story. 🤣 I need to start Vagabond as well. For as much as I read for the channel, there is so much I also wish I had time to read. Resorted to audiobooks in an effort to not completely cut books out of my life. Barely even get to read manga lately. Been listening to the Dune audiobook and loving it.
@@eclecticcollector88 yeah, I need to watch the anime for Ron Kamonohashi too. Miyamoto Musashi is a legendary Japanese swordsman from the 1600s, there are several movies, anime, tv-series out there, whichever you watched I'm sure it was about the same Musashi. Heard "Vagabond" is the manga adaptation of that novel by Yoshikawa, that's why I wanted to read the novel first.
Had the wildest week of reading... Started with being disappointed with the ending of Monster.. Went through some Ninin Ga Shinobuden and ended with MANGA Messiah... WOW 👍 ... And if you dig arthouse nonsense... i always like to recommend A FIELD IN ENGLAND... Oh and did you know that the Koreans have done a live action spin off to Parasyte ? Parasyte - the Grey,
I'm off on a three day weekend so I'll try to watch A Field in England at some point. I love weird movies. I'm the dude who takes friends to see movies were they wonder why they ever agreed to come along. I saw that there was a trailer for that, but had no idea it's Korean. Will need to check it out as well. I've yet to see the Wailing, but hear it's phenomenal.
@@eclecticcollector88 Just one of those films that's always stuck with me.. Set during the English Civil War of the 17th Century... Three guys go AWOL from battle, and meet the Devil who is looking for its treasure... In a field.... In England. Some of the cinematography is so good. Definitely an all time favourite weirdhouse Horror flick 👍One of two films that I insist on watching at least once a year... The other is Flash Gordon lol
