How to make Shahi Paneer | Restaurant Style at Home | Shahi Paneer Recipe

  • Shahi Paneer!! Delight your taste buds with rich and creamy shahi paneer.
    To Make Masala Paste:
    Ingredients:
    2 tbsp oil
    2 bay leaves
    1 tsp cumin seeds
    6-7 cloves of garlic
    1.5 inch ginger
    2 medium onions, chopped
    3 medium tomatoes, chopped
    1 black cardamom
    3 cloves
    4 green cardamom
    Coriander with stems, handful
    Water
    12-15 cashews
    Method:
    In a pan, heat oil. Add bay leaves, cumin seeds, garlic, ginger, and sauté for 30 seconds.
    Add chopped onions and cook them for 2-3 minutes, until translucent.
    Add chopped tomatoes, black cardamom, cloves, green cardamoms, fresh coriander and cook for 2-3 minutes.
    Add water and cashews. Cover it and cook for 15-20 minutes, until cashews are soft.
    Cool down the mixture, remove bay leaves and grind the mixture into a fine paste by adding little water.
    Strain it for a smooth paste.
    To Make Shahi Paneer:
    Ingredients:
    2 tbsp butter
    1 tbsp oil
    Cinnamon
    1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    1 tsp red chilli powder
    1 tsp fenugreek leaves
    Masala paste
    Salt, to taste
    1 tsp sugar
    1/2 tsp garam masala
    300 grams paneer
    Cream
    Fresh coriander, chopped
    Method:
    In a pan, heat butter and oil. Add cinnamon, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, fenugreek leaves, mix and cook for 30 seconds.
    Add masala paste, salt, sugar, garam masala and mix.
    Add paneer cubes and grate 1 cube into the gravy. Add cream and mix.
    Cover and cook for 10 mins on low flame.
    Serve hot, garnish it with cream and freshly chopped coriander.
