Both Freddy's and Checker's have a 1940's/50's late night American diner vibe(even though they were started decades later). Ordering food back then was less of a dilemma without the headache of counting calories, carbs, and trans fats. Now fast food is in the same category as smoking and drugs.

Freddy's is highly underrated IMO. It goes head to head with Culver's. They are both my two favorite "traditional" fast food chains atm. The California burger is my favorite, along with that Jalapeno Pepper Jack one.

Pepperjack jalepeno double and the cheese fries are my favorite items from here. I usually put onion rings in my burger.The ice cream sundaes are really good too.

I used to work on a restaurant (not fast food) for 5 years, all thier food a deliciousl but bland. the main reason is health related problems of many customers, for example salt raises blood pressure to many customers, but salt and pepper are in each table for customers to customized thier salt intake for thier taste. I prefer this myself, there are many times I go to a restaurant and the food are either salty, peppery, or both. today, many restaurant do this and for fast food restuarants you had to ask for salt and pepper on the side and used to your needs. have fun.

I'm hyped you did a review on Freddy's bro. I recently moved out east from the westcoast and never heard of it before. Been eyeing it but havent pulled the trigger just yet. I'll be checking this place out for sure.
Yo King! I've been watching for a while now and am genuinely surprised to see you come all the way to Linden. Honestly, not the best food around here (unfortunately), but there are some places I can recommend in your "exploring", particularly Johnny Prince's Bayway Diner (they close around 2:00-3:00 PM to watch out for that), located near the Byway Refinery. Most of their food is alright, but I'd definitely recommend their chili cheese dog and some of their cheese fries (or without cheese), idk what it is but their cheese and chili is the bomb, or at least imo. Another great place is Linwood Inn Tap House Pizza & Grill, located on South Wood Ave, although beware of the parking situation, a bit awkward. Their Big Bubba pizza (chicken, bacon, & ranch) is amazing, as well as their jalapeño poppers, and pretty much everything else there imo, but those are just my favorites. Anyways have a great day and keep up your amazing food reviews boss!!

My girlfriend lives in Carteret and I go up there on weekends. Linden isn't too far. 15 minutes. Flaming Grill is fire. Brick and Linden NJ. Fortune Buffet in Toms River. Is Fudruckers still around? Had it when I was a kid. Also Ground Round where they give you a basket of popcorn. They used to play Aladdin on a movie screen.
The fry’s are really good! Especially right out the fryer! But I agree with you they definitely have to grow on you!

You're in my town lol I always pass them and never went. Try the Shoprite in South Plainfield they have an awesome selection of hot food. Waaaaayyyyy better than the one in Linden.

Freddy's is another "W" franchise to come outta the City (Town) of Wichita, Kansas.
Much like successful franchises like Pizza Hut Inc. & White Castle 🏰, Freddy's is another great restaurant to come out of the State of Kansas & the City (Town) of Wichita.
Koch Industries is another rather large corporation that started in Wichita but of course not related to the restaurant business.
Sidenote: We have multiple Freddy's locations here in Tucson, Arizona as well so they've definitely expanded out West.
