- My wife and I traveled to St. Lucia for our honeymoon in August 2013, and it was an amazing place! I loved the culture, the people, and the natural beauty.
Saint Lucia is one of the Windward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean Sea. We chose it because it had so much diversity to offer. We knew we would enjoy ourselves, but we had no idea how much we would fall in love with St. Lucia!

We rented a car while there, which was awesome for being able to just drive around and find beautiful spots (of course finding beautiful spots wasn't hard!). If I'm able to come back I'd like to make a video that focuses on the people and culture.

I was glad I ended up in Dennery! I had been driving south on the main road at 5am, looking for a place to film the sunrise, and when I saw the pull off for Dennery, it looked perfect. I also met a few St. Lucians while filming there, such wonderful and friendly people! They gave me some fruit. :-)

Thanks! This was an old one for us, but I still enjoy coming back to it and watching from time to time. I realize now that I wish I had included more shots of some of our experiences around the island, rather than just shots of landscapes.

Awesome! I'd love to go back, but I'm also torn because of some advice my father-in-law gave me: "Don't go back to the place you went on your honeymoon because it won't be the same and will likely taint your memories of the place." So as much as I love St. Lucia (and I'm sure you will too!), I wouldn't be surprised if we just let the one trip be our only time there. Besides, there are so many great places to explore all around the world and we've so far only been to a small handful of countries, so we won't be running out of alternatives anytime soon.

My wife and I lived in St. Lucia for 12 years. We left 2 years ago as the economy went to pot. Quite a lot of crime and lack of maintenance of infrastructure. 25% unemployment and 20% underemployed. Nicest video I have seen about the beauty of the island. Anyway we live now in even more beautiful Panamá. Boquete, the valley of the flowers and eternal spring.
