27:14 Allow me to pin a correction pointed out by a commenter: you are NOT able to "revive Hiita" from your GY with Selene's effect. Since Selene's effect is to special summon a Spellcaster monster from your GY in defense-position, and Link Monsters are unable to be in defense-position, Hiita is not a valid target.
Hiita is played as a way to utilize the opponent's GY with Ash Blossom or other FIRE monsters. She can be used to link summon Selene since she is a Spellcaster, but if you intend to go to Accesscode Talker with Selene since she is a link-3 monster, you still need another monster on board or to be able to summon Veiler from grave. She can also be used to special summon a link FIRE monster for Ningirsu or go into Accesscode Talker if you special summon a link-2 FIRE monster. She is fairly situational, and not at all essential to the package.

Also, if it’s an Ash that you revived with the hita, you can still go into halq to get the veiler if you didn’t already have veiler in grave- then still go into Selene -> revive veiler -> accesscode

One of the best yugioh guides I've seen! This is great! I really like how everything about the deck is explained thoroughly so you know when to use certain cards. Also I hadn't realized that the entire main engine is just Raya and her gadgets and suits until you explained it at the start of the video LOL. I definitely think that whole idea is really cool.

I despise this archtype so much cause literally like every third duel I have is against Sky Strikers. Good video though, now I have a better understanding of how they work and what they are capable of. Also I have never noticed it's always the same girl but with different armor. That's kinda neat. :)

In plat 1 sky striker is maybe once every 7 duels
this brought me from stuck silver into diamond in a few hours. I knew i loved this deck but wasnt using cards NEARLY efficiently enough thank you man.
Man, I come back to this video constantly and I just have to say if this video isn’t the best Sky strikers video I’ve seen, then it is damn sure one of them. I’m about to finish my sky striker build tonight finally with the ability to OT K. it will still be a work in progress but I think it will be pretty decent

i haven’t played since duel monsters/gx era & this is the first deck i chose to build bc of the card art lol but i’m having a lot of fun with it. great video, i’d love to see some in game play by play commentary type videos with this deck!

God I love your initial description of the archetype.
I used to be a big sky striker (Simp) player back when the deck was in its first wave, that was when I was going trough a pure stage so I couldn't really bring the archetype to its fullest back then.
Now im picking it up in MD after so much time and im surprised by how much they have evolved since then, im definitely enjoying figuring out the combos and I can say that this deck is easy to use but tricky to master, especially in the enviroment of the game wich makes challenge all the more exciting

Your guide made me really motivated and encouraged to make this deck! It's such a fun and flexible deck! As I played the deck more and more, the more cards I found I could use in this deck, like "Kaiser Colosseum", "The Dark Door" and "Moon Mirror Shield" if paired with "Sky Striker Mecharmory - Hercules Base". I made 3 decks of this archetype to explore different gameplays. This deck reached me up to Platinum. What's funny is that I reached it hours before the Ranks reset. I never regretted using lots of my UR and SR crafting points for making it. Too bad a friend of mine didn't like this deck since its not a combo deck (high ATK monster deck). Looking forward to see more of your content!

I just started playing MD. I build myself SkyStriker because I like the Sky Striker spells has 2 effects but I had no idea how to play.
The core of this deck is to play very good spells that are competitive in oder to fulfill Spell Striker Spell’s 2nd effects.
I was not if i should Craft 2x Call by the Grave.
But now I will definitely craft Call by the grave

This is definitely the best sky striker guide. I think this decklist should still be viable for current meta also so ima try your build soon after I learn the deck. Also why no upstart goblin? I always come back to this video as I learn plays. Would also like an updated deck list.
I know you've mentioned it later on in the vid, which prompted me to deleting my first comment but when you spoke specifically about both Afterburner and Jamming, I think it would've hit harder to newer players to the deck regarding the non targeting effects it has with the second part of each cards effects! That's pretty much my only critique, but I think this guide was WELL needed and this one to me stood out far more consumable, well paced and nicely done with the visuals. I would even dare to say that this was better than what Dkayed might've done in his version. My favorite part of the video was the very last segment in which you've stated which cards to go for first with crafting and their prioritizing the staples in recommended order. I wish I had this type of guide from the get go. I'll look forward to more deck techs from you much later if you are game for that challenge. Big ups for the efforts.

I went to Diamond for the first time today with Sky Strikers. It's such a good deck once you understand how to play it. I didn't understand before but now it's so much fun lol
I found a weirdly specific OTK that involves your opponent having a Monster in extra monster zone, and you having Roze, Hornet, either any tuner or one Summoner's monk (I use it as a cheap way to get into Selene -> Accesscode because I don't have 3x blossom yet) in hand.
The combo goes
- Hornet
- Kagari recyles Hornet
- Hornet
- SS Roze from hand
- Normal summon the tuner/summoner's monk:
+ Use Kagari + Tuner for Halqi, then Selene then Accesscode
+ Kagari + Summoner's monk + any monster from its effect for Selene, then Accessode
- Roze + token for Zeke
- Banish opponent's monster in the Extra zone
- SS Roze
- Clear the field with Accesscode then direct attack and profit.
Oh yeah, Roze has some nutty plays when the opponent uses the extra monster zone. Thanks for the tip!
@@Rednu imo she's pretty much made to work alongside Zeke which is pretty cool because Zeke is the only armor that doesn't look like Raye, so I've always assumed it's Roze's armor. They are pretty situational requiring your opponent to be already using the extra zone, but can be used to pull some crazy shits.
Yeah, Zeke feels like Roze's armor. Common anime tropes have the protag rival being a little more edgy. I like to imagine Zeke as Roze's last resort weapon that requires her to fuse or consume something else in order to attain.

If you want to play an alternative to Pot of Avarice there is card called Link Bound in one of the structure decks that returns 1 link monster to the extra deck and draws cards equal to its link rating, but you have to place cards equal to the number you drew on the bottom of the deck. Its not as good as Avarice, but is much easier to use and can be used turn 1, which is a problem you stated in the video. Hope this helps :)

I would love a commentary video to serve as a tutorial, i just made my first Skystriker deck and since i have played Mechina for the past decade whenever i returned to Yu-Gi-Oh suddenly switching to a toolbox type deck is a bit tricky so a commentary video explaining while actually playing would be amazing to learn the in's and out's of the tools in this deck

while the mistakes were made yesterday before I stumble upon this video, I manage to cut my losses and build a F2P sky strikers. thank you for helping me stop doing the mistake. I also want to know if you have any plan to make a 'case-by-case' video regarding the situation of duel.
for example, what starting hands that considered "ideal, so-so, at disadvantage, or bricked so you better surrender and find other matches". another example would a commentary video which you explain misplays and what should you do instead or how to fix the manage said misplays and/or a situation where you explain how to get out of 'disadvantageous situation' or how to 'press the advantageos position to win more'

Ningirsu would let you pop your area Zero and non target remove a monster making Acesscode easier too if you don't have ash or veiler nearby but can steal a link while having zeke or pheonix

I created a deck for Solo Mode with pure Sky Striker cards with Limited/Semi-Limited spell cards and it's funny that I can summon Kagari every turn with Multi-role + the equip card and let Shizuku do the job of Mobilize!

It sure is, but a lot of the decks I fought against in platinum were not using the extra monster zone. These include Drytron, Eldlich, Virtual World, etc, making the card a little situational. I also do not want to possibly give Drytron a free Eva or Eldlich a free Eldlich in grave.

Saw this on reddit. Made me want to build the deck. Managed to get close to your build with what resources I had. Haven't played with it yet but I'm curious how you'd build it under the TCG banlist.
I probably wouldn't! Lol but serious answer is there would be a lot more things to consider and unfortunately I dropped TCG at MR4 and haven't really looked back. The meta is different with I think more card sets and a pretty diff banlist. For one I know you could only play one Engage and honestly that doesn't sound very fun just from first impression. Nope! It's a compilation of clips from three different anime: Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Vividred Operation, and Symphogear.
Random question. Is it worth using the Ningirisu slot on the Earth Charmer link, targeting Maxx C? You get the same plays more or less, unless I’m missing something?
Ningirsu is a source of non-target removal. Summoning Maxx "C" with Earth Charmer is not as good as summoning Ash with Hiita because Maxx isn't a tuner and so Maxx + Earth Charmer is not Halqi. Since that is the case, it is not nearly as useful.

i have learned that the fire sword and the shield looking spell can do two traps/spells or two monsters if there is no monster or trap/spell on the field
I may not be understanding correctly but what you said doesn't sound correct. If there is no valid target for the plain effect, you cannot use the bonus effect for either Afterburners nor Jamming Waves.

I'm kind of interested on the 2nd Turn Kill part. Can you please explain more? Tbh, this is my first time *really* getting into Yu-Gi-Oh. Well, not really the first, I've played Duel Links a few years ago. But it's already been soo long that I just kinda forgot what decks I used.
Sure. If we chose to ignore the backrow, which we could probably do against Monarch AI (though I wouldn't suggest in a game vs competent players since their backrow is usually a little more threatening), we could have link summoned Hayate, activate Roze's special effect to special summon herself from hand, then normal Ash Blossom. We can make Crystron Halqifibrax with Hayate + Ash, this will let us special summon Effect Veiler from the deck, and from there it's the Accesscode Talker combo that is covered in the next section. With Roze (1500) and Accesscode Talker (5300), we will be able to deal the necessary 6500 damage to win the game.
I chose not to do this play to demonstrate a conventional turn play. I usually will not go into Accesscode Talker vs 3 set spell/traps because I run the risk of losing that combo line to something like Solemn Judgment, or monster effect negation.

Hello! I’ve got 2 blossoms and 2 maxx c, what 3 cards from the f2p deck would you suggest cutting for these?
Generally anything that isn't core and doesn't draw you cards can go. It also depends on the decks you are facing. But I would first get rid of the Fissures. The last card depends on if you're fighting a lot of monster effects or backrow. If the former, cut MST, if the latter, cut Forbidden Chalice.
Sky Striker is my favorite archetype because Raye is like Samus Aran due to being solo and her sci-fi equipment.
That's a cool way to look at it. Zeke kinda fits the aesthetic too.
sky strikers player here, amazing guide! my personal deck is mainly sky stikers but it also utilizes monarchs and fortune lady earth for some powerful tribute summons if the sky strikers engine fails, also threw in fortress warrior for easy tribute fodder i dont have to worry about keeping in check

What do you think about Kaiser Kolusseum and Twin twisters? Maybe I am just bad but I would swap out the Pot of Desires because of the pain of banishing 2 engages xD
I don't like the discard cost for Twisters and Kaiser doesn't do anything on play. I like going second which means I don't get to play it going first often. I am usually able to get Engage out before Desires but even in cases I can't, I usually am so unlucky to banish both lol
The playguide was a bit fast and I'm def a bit lost lol. Some of the things you mentioned I didn't necessarily see happen but I'll rewatch that segment a few times to make sure I'm not missing it. Def looking forward to some commentary playguides of this deck hopefully. I have almost everything your deck has but I do not have talker and a few others I think.

Could u explain why u dont run Upstart gobllin? Some list runs it, some dont and it escapes me why u would not want to run it
This list in particular was just me hating on Eldlich. There's a lot of spell/trap hate. Upstart Goblins are great, they're nowhere near necessary though, and are super expensive for its effect. I run Upstart in my current list though, you could see it in my recent play-by-play video.
The anime is Vivid red operation i also think this is the inspiration for sky striker.
Vividred has some cool armored girls! So maybe!

You are brave for running triple desires, I keep trying it but It almost always backfires and I banish all my good cards, so I then have to hold it until I get said cards in rotation, but by then the card becomes pretty much dead. Don't know how I'm so unlucky 😂
Most times I won't banish everything I need and the two cards are more helpful. But there are a lot of games where we are able to and should take cards out of the deck and put them in GY or hand before desires, and that is usually what helps. For instance if I search one engage with Shizuku, I'd feel generally good about using pot after.

Assuming I have about 10 spaces in Main deck and 5 spaces in extra deck.

At 31:00 why not just pull hornet drones and go straight into the access code combo to Otk them straight away?
You can certainly do that. It only takes one backrow card to interrupt your combo though. Since I have a lot of ways to put cards in my hand, I would rather do that and exhaust his resources than go for a play that can potentially be interrupted. If I get interrupted at any point during the Accesscode Talker combo, my Normal Summon is taken up and I potentially lose access to Accesscode Talker. I believe I'll achieve the same result in a slightly safer way by just having way more cards than them.

Not easy. If it's just Naturia Beast, linking into Zeke will work. Zeke can either banish Naturia Beast on summon (temporarily) or send something you control to grave to buff it's ATK by 1000, making it 2500 and letting you attack over Naturia Beast. If you have 7 spells in grave you can suicide attack Beast with Shizuku or Kagari, 8 will beat them.
You can link into Zeke with Roze in hand pretty easily, your ways of getting her are pretty tough tho. Sometimes you have to hope they don't kill your Sky Striker link monster + Rate and go into Zeke the next turn.
How do you deal with chaos max dragon if you can't reach accesscode
I like my other decklist in the Shaddolls play guide commentary for this. Forbidden Droplet is great vs them. It can negate Chaos Max Dragon's protection since it doesn't target, then you can handle it with any other removal like Afterburners! or Widow Anchor. Another way you can get rid of them is Ningirsu.
Thank you for the guide especially the F2P section and what to upgrade! It really helped me out in planning my gems. However, I have a question (I’m a noob at yugioh so apologies in advance if my question is stupid). How am I suppose to close the game out after the Sky Striker engine clears out the enemy board? I understand how it’s done with the platinum one but I’m not sure how or what the combo is for the F2P deck. Thank you in advance and for the amazing content. Again it really helps out someone like me who’s Yugioh knowledge is based on the original anime!!!
Hi! It's not as easy for sure without Accesscode Talker. I would try to make Decode Talker and fill your main monster zone with two monsters on it's link arrows. Should be on average about 4500-5000 damage. You want to be aware of how you can get monsters on the board so normal summon, Roze special summon from hand, Widow Anchor, and Shark Cannon are the most common ways. Remember also Widow Anchor can steal monsters and attack with them so if you see a strong monster on their board that should factor into how much damage you can deal. I hope this helps a little bit. You can open all the bundles. The Secret Pack you primarily want to open for this deck is Singular Strike Overthrow, which you can unlock by crafting an SR card like Widow Anchor or Engage.
