Proposed marijuana grow in rural Boulder County sparks concerns for neighbors

Some people living in Coal Creek Canyon are calling on Boulder County commissioners to say "No" to a marijuana processing and retail facility coming to the middle of the forest.

When Colorado passed the Marijuana laws, they left it to the local communities if they want to permit it. Clearly this community doesn't want it. Now, let's see if their "elected" leaders represent them or those who line their pockets with campaign contributions. I'm for decriminalizarion, but not legalization, if you want to grow your own, on your property for personal consumption, that's one thing, but creating a commercial enterprise around it, that has a very corrupting nature to it.

If they can afford it here, they can surely afford it on the eastern plains somewhere. Site security will be easier, building maintenance will be far less (that place looks neglected already), and you won't be fuming out the neighbors.

I'm very much pro-cannabis, but yeah this seems like a weird location to set up a grow operation.

It's a perfect location. The grows (nearing ten years old) in Evergreen haven't upset anyone

extreme risk of wildfires in the mountains during the summer😂 so normal rules then lol taking preventive measures means its a bad idea ok😂 this reminds me of my city saying grows attract thieves yeah &? so does owning nice things.

I am pro pot but if they don’t want it, don’t allow it. It is very water intensive and there is soo much pot already.
