- Megaman X5 for PC playthrough with Zero against the Shadow Devil on Xtreme difficulty.
Parts used are Buster Plus, Virus Buster, Z-Saber Extend and Z-Saber Plus.
This took me so many tries to do as the eye can pop up in its foot or near its back where it makes attacking with Zero a pain. Not to mention the order that the block come at you can be a bit tricky to predict.

Watching this gives me bad memories of dying over and over against this thing.
This comment aged so well it turned into a Mega Man 11 Wily reference.
I went threw worse bc this boss killed me like 10 times...

TheeLightBearer Which is very, very sad. Capcom wasted a very interesting plot there. That's why I stopped playing Megaman X after I finished X5.
alxxpspqr You know? That conclusion, gives a very sinister meaning of Wily's existence in the series. He, singlehandy became the source of all problems in the Megaman X world. He became from a man, into a being of pure evilness, like a sort of Machine God of Evil.

alxxpspqr That's true. In regards of Serges, the creators of the Megaman X saga, even said that he "could be, or could not be Wily", leaving the door open for speculations. Hell, even his boss fight was so reminiscent to Wily.
About Isoc... I didn't played Megaman X6, but... was he the guy whose body was merely an empty husk? with a Wily-esque appearance?
It's absolutely right. Being Wily the root of all problems in the Megaman X saga, would be really, really amazing. But they left us with the "ganas" (I know, it's Spanish, but I don´t know how to say that word in English. Apologies) of see the good old doctor, in such amazingly big role. What a pity.
Maybe a remake would fix that mistake.
When I was playing as Zero, I was like "Huh, this stage is oddly like Quickman's. But I was able to get through! I am sure the boss cannot be that hard"
Then I heard Yellow Devil's theme from Megaman 1 and my eyes lit up in fear. I literally said..."No, NOT HIM! ANYONE BUT HIM!"
And since Zero is a close range fighter, you have to get close to hit the damn eye that LOVES to move around and it does an obscene amount of damage if you just touch the dang thing!

This boss fight is worse than the entirety of X6. I am literally not kidding
The music repeats over and over and over again. Just like me, dying over and over and over again...

Respect. The mid-split dual exchange always throws me off too. There's no good way to anticipate that being in the middle of it.
The theme that plays during this fight is a remix of the original Wily stage boss theme from the first Mega Man Classic game.

Some tips :
1.Make sure that you have obtained 8 hearts to increase size of life bar.
2.Fill up your sub tanks but play carefully and do your jumping practice to evade his mud blocks throwing pattern.
3.Use fire based weapons and giga attack if you have armour.
4.Maintain a FAR distance.Hit him from a far distance without sacrificing visibility of boss.It will be easy for him to damage you if you are near him.If you are far,then you can get at least 1 or 2 seconds maximum to evade his attacks.For Zero dont go too near to him.Use giga attack 4 times and another 4 times after you use weapon tank after using life tanks.
5.Try again.
For complainers they can quit or ignore this!!

Its kinda ironical X5 in Aggrègate was a easy game but This boss manages to become the exception.

Listen dude, I am still going to complain about this boss. Because this boss is seriously worse than Nightmare mother in X6. X5 is s good game don't get me wrong, but this boss really sucks ass.

Dude I was wondering how come you didn't use Zero's electric saber on it. That's the shadow devil's weakness and it that attack WRECKS his ass.

It's only really useful if the eye is on his foot since black devil can kill you in one hit if you touch his body
You can control the altitude of the electric saber, so i been able to give 2 shots per round

I always groan when I battle against a devil in the mega man games. Not once does the fight feel fair in any game. Players will start cursing count on it. Devil fights are my least favorite boss fights.

Ur lucky, I was on a vid that my brother was seeing... Well, I put myself the OST vid, then I seen a comment saying that we put the vid speed at 0.25x OOFAH It was so CREEPY.

Ducking took away a good deal of difficulty with this freaking boss. I know I hate him, but it's kind of a love to hate kind of hate. You used to have to time your slides, but now...just duck.
why is his saber pink??
I think this person used the Z-Saber + part or whatever it's called on Zero, hence why his Z-Saber is colored pink.

man, megaman x5 was a bit easy for me, but those castle levels, were a hell, literaly the easiest bosses were zero and X, i diead a tons of times in this level
Just did this with 3 mavericks beaten as Zero, just wall jumped in the corner.

Dude the developers went and made a fight that is too fucking difficult. His blob pattern is random. Accidental contact with his body causes 75% damage to your health. Who the fuck wrote that.
Beat it after something like 15 tries. Jesus.
