Oh, you guys should also check out her live performance of this song at the 1999 (I believe) Grammys!! Also, Thank You is a great song that she wrote after going to India and finding some peace within herself and letting go of a lot of her anger from her earlier years.
Yep. ThankU is brilliant. And is one of only three videos that I've ever seen where I've got the message that the video producer was trying to send. Its utterly utterly brilliant.
I think this may have been the music from the Grammys preformance. I love watching her sing, it is captivating. Another big one, of many, is "Thank You".
I can’t listen to “THANK YOU” by Alanis Morissette without getting emotional. It’s an incredible song packed with beauty and redemption. Well-worth checking out! Cheers!
YES! The live performance of this song at Woodstock in 1999 is stellar! And of course the performance at the '99 Grammys. This song always gives me chills...I imagine in my head that she's singing this to the same chap that was the subject of "You Outta Know" after his new lover that he traded her in for was rejected and is trying to get back with her😊
Another great Canadian artist. I played this album Jagged Little Pill so much when I got it in 1996. She was unlike anyone else in that time period. Great reaction.🍁
I've watched so many reactions of content creators being exposed to one of our favorite Canadians, Alanis Morissette, and proceed to follow them down that proverbial rabbit hole, and they all have big smiles coming out the other end....so sit back and enjoy the ride. (Your journey should start with "You Oughta Know". That's the name of the song, I'm not making you try to guess. Lol)
Her international debut album Jagged Little Pill is an awesome album. You could compare it with the debut of Kate Bush or Sinead O'Connor. I bought the album and listened to it many times. Of course "You oughta know" was a breakthrough and made her name. For me personally "Mary Jane" was the most beautiful song of that album. Thank U is also a great song. All the best from the Netherlands!
This was fun. It's a really good song. It reminds me of the soundtrack to the movie "City of Angels." That movie has a fantastic soundtrack. One song that is a must hear is called "Angel" by Sarah McLachlin.
I know you have been listening to a lot of Dave Matthews Band (best band ever btw) and on the album Before These Crowded Streets, she does vocals with dave at the end of Don't Drink The Water. Also, on that album, is a duet with Dave and her called Spoon. She is electric live as well!
Recently I saw your reactions of Dream theater and it's my favorite band of all time, but I like to see a reaction of a band called "leprous" especially for a song called "Castaway angels". I hope you like it, it's really awesome and different. Thanks guys!
She has an amazing voice. Please check out a live version of That I Would be Good- there are a couple of good recordings from Dave Letterman and also MTV unplugged. She's an incredible artist.
I'll stick this here in case you want to watch it. It's Alanis singing this song live at the Grammy Awards (filmed on a potato camera unfortunately) - You can see that she sings incredibly well live with an orchestra, very close to the video you have just watched. Despite the video quality I go back to watch it often .......... th-cam.com/video/FjTB6EG3xGo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zNez2lYwed5rmo1w
No surprise you had the reaction you did, to this piece. Extraordinary voice, brilliant lyricist, odd/unique phrasing, dark and powerful! I felt your smiles and your goosebumps over all these airwaves and miles! Fantastic!!!! ✌️💜🎶
Great reaction as usual, love this song! Even though I was very young,I was in love with Jagged Little Pill when it came out in the 90's ,her iconic album,it is amazing
If you really want to hear what she can do with her voice, check out "Your House." It's the A Capella song hidden long after the end of the final track of Jagged Little Pill. EDIT: ...and of course, skipping You Oughta Know would be downright criminal.
Alanis is a great singer/writer, but to me, her songs get lyrically old fast. 85% of her material is about the same thing over and over again. Emotional spite, jealousy, anger, hurt, cheating etc etc. We know you were hurt from a relationship, but geez, move on, write about something else.
Oh, you guys should also check out her live performance of this song at the 1999 (I believe) Grammys!!
Also, Thank You is a great song that she wrote after going to India and finding some peace within herself and letting go of a lot of her anger from her earlier years.
100% it is a hauntingly beautiful song, that live performance is perfection. Ty for reaction.

Alanis does have such a unique delivery with her cadence & syncopation. Hope you’ll do more. 🥂
I rarely suggest live videos, but in this case her performance of this at the Grammys is epic.

I can’t listen to “THANK YOU” by Alanis Morissette without getting emotional. It’s an incredible song packed with beauty and redemption. Well-worth checking out! Cheers!
Her live version of “Thank You” is amazing. 😊 I think it was at an MTV unplugged show or something similar.. It’s my fav
100%
The build in thos is incredible. It’s by far my favorite song of hers.
YES! The live performance of this song at Woodstock in 1999 is stellar! And of course the performance at the '99 Grammys.

Love Alanis, her voice is awesome, her phrasing and word play is unique. Great reaction as always ❤
Another great Canadian artist. I played this album Jagged Little Pill so much when I got it in 1996. She was unlike anyone else in that time period. Great reaction.🍁
I've always envisioned this song being on a James Bond soundtrack.
I am a Rocker whole heartedly, but i Love Alanis Morissette....the Queen of Canada!
Love her! Her Jagged Little Pill album sold over 16 million copies. Saw her live here in Canada 🇨🇦. She was fantastic ❤❤
This, in my opinion, is her best song. So Good! You should see the live version from London a few years ago.
Or the live from some weeks ago she’s amazing
Went to her live performance in Sydney AUS after she released this album. Mesmerising vocalist!

An amazing vocalist. the version on MTV unplugged Live ..is scaled down...and breathtaking. ..great choice Merchants. ❤
One of my favorite songs ever!!!
Much love to the both of you. Please check out "Thank You," which Aurora has also done by the way. ❤
Basically this is progrock. A real gem from Alanis.

This is a favorite by Alanis for me, but "I Was Hoping" is my very favorite of hers. Great reaction ❤
I see a lot of suggestions, but I can tell you that next up should be "You Oughta Know." You'll be pulled right in to the story from the beginning.
❤❤❤❤
Great live
She is really quirky when she sings but it adds to the experience of watching it live.
Omg. This woman is amazing!!
You should check out of her other songs like, "You Oughta Know", "Hands in my Pocket", or "All I Really Want".
This was fun. It's a really good song. It reminds me of the soundtrack to the movie "City of Angels." That movie has a fantastic soundtrack. One song that is a must hear is called "Angel" by Sarah McLachlin.

Oh that's so cool ☺️
I love this track. This was Alanis' "Stairway..." IMO.
Recently I saw your reactions of Dream theater and it's my favorite band of all time, but I like to see a reaction of a band called "leprous" especially for a song called "Castaway angels". I hope you like it, it's really awesome and different.
Thanks guys!
The best version is live at the Grammys with an orchestra
She has an amazing voice. Please check out a live version of That I Would be Good- there are a couple of good recordings from Dave Letterman and also MTV unplugged.
She's an incredible artist.
Ha.... It's true mate! You do look like Mr Cage a little!
😁
If you have the chance to watch the movie City of Angles .You will totally understand the lyrics.
I’m so happy you’re doing her I love her song Isn’t Ironic too! This one is so good too!
You should hear "Thankyou" next...her voice is superb xx
TOTALLY agree!
Another great Canadian artist…

No surprise you had the reaction you did, to this piece. Extraordinary voice, brilliant lyricist, odd/unique phrasing, dark and powerful! I felt your smiles and your goosebumps over all these airwaves and miles! Fantastic!!!! ✌️💜🎶
I started off being a little annoyed with Alanis Morissette. For the life of me, I cannot remember why. I love her work!
Great reaction as usual, love this song! Even though I was very young,I was in love with Jagged Little Pill when it came out in the 90's ,her iconic album,it is amazing
Andrei Cage 👈
You should check out Thank You by Alanis morissette
AMEN!!!!
Her album “jagged little pill” is full of great songs, and is a top 5 album from the 90’s IMO.
I think this was a song to a stalker of hers
I really hoped you would have reacted first to the live performance of this. It's infinitely better live.
How about reacting to "Unsent"?
If you really want to hear what she can do with her voice, check out "Your House." It's the A Capella song hidden long after the end of the final track of Jagged Little Pill.
EDIT: ...and of course, skipping You Oughta Know would be downright criminal.
Thank you 👍
Damn you do look like Nick Cage😂
👍😂
Oh man. This is my favorite. watching now... The live version is absolutely intense. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check any of them out.
Live version of this song is incredible!!
Only ONE Alanis .....whole bunch of females tried to copy her after Jagged but there's only one .

She writes from the heart and experience…if you done like it…don’t listen
Yes… perhaps, like you, she can confine her bitter thoughts to the comment sections of TH-cam.
@@johnmavroudis2054 her bitter thoughts have brought her many followers and a lot of money…
@johnmavroudis2054 your mommy is calling for you boy. Go wipe your tears till your daddy gets home to bang you
