why did I believe Peter Cullen died?
It's probably his last performance
He is the second oldest actor to voice a transformer. The oldest is George Coe who voiced Wheeljack in Transformers Dark of the Moon who was 82 at the time the movie was released. I see Cullen voicing Optimus for as long as his voice will allow him and the film budget works him into the film.

Transformers and G.I joe had stories together back in the comics. So the end scene made sense to me, but it still felt out of nowhere

They had one semi crossover episode on season three of the G1 transformers show. Cobra Commander appeared as a character named Old Snake.
@Rushking20 unless they plan on continuing making Tf movies focused on Transformers with Gi Joe in the background and to the side, and the other way around with Gi Joe and Transformers to the side, but I won't be surprised if we get movies focused on both groups
I mean, they're both Hasbro, and it was done in the comics, so it had to happen at some point.
Next comes the multiverse sequel.

I wish the Maximals had more screen time and dialogue. The autobots themselves are great, I was surprise by voice acting for the other autobots. Prime and Primal are fantastic with Peter Cullen and Ron Perlman voicing them and that goes without saying

For those who don’t know, paramount has decided to reboot the entire universe with the bumble bee movie which was suppose to be a prequel to the first bay verse movie (TF1). But instead they used it as the first movie in the new rebooted universe, ROTB is a sequel to the bee movie.

"Maximize" was the activation command spoken by the Maximals in the Beast Wars series to transform into robot-mode. Their counterparts, the Predacons, would yell "Terrorize"
“Maximize!” is what they said when they transformed in the animated series.
Also, I think the suit was supposed to be like Spike and Daniel’s suits from the animated movie and season after.
And it was the first show to start them need to say “transform” or other versions to change.

"Maximize!" was specifically the term used in Beast Wars for the command for Maximals to transform. The original series used "Transform".
The fact that Noah wanted to protect his home. That's a pretty good reason bringing up his military background. Makes his motivation to protect makes sense.
I love how he did a full contract but he was only a private😂 they could've atleast gave him specialist or something but a private after a 4 year contract isn't realistic😂

I think it’s a fun detail that the actors who played Optimus, Scourge, and Mirage have their first name like, Peter Cullen, Peter Dinklage and Pete Davidson
Never compare Unicron with Galactus. Unicron can eat universes as well, not only planets. What's more terrifying is that there is only one Unicron in the multiverse of Transformers lore. In Marvel, there's a multiversal cosmic being that Galactus is scared of called Black Winter who eats universes and is the one that ate Galactus' original universe before the Marvel universe began.
There's theories that Black Winter is Unicron. Since Unicron existed in Marvel Comics

In my opinion, i think that this was one of the better TF movies cuz you can tell thats there was a lot of heart, character development, great battles, and (ik im gonna get heat from this) better written human characters. Ik most if not all fans of TF movies dont care about the human element, but if they are gonna have humans in it at least make them useful and i feel that they were. Prime had a great character developmental arc in this cuz it showed how raw and loose Prime was. The Prime we know is kind, intellectual, heroic, understanding, and he carries that with courage and sacrifice. This prime was irrational, quick to blame, violent, and most of all filled with overwhelming guilt. Being forced to leave Cybertrion cuz being overrrun at his position, Scourge killing bee in front of him, being so far away from home, took its toll on him. The way Primal taught and led Prime into becoming the leader that we all know was great to see. Seeing the Maximals in battle with the Autobots was awesome to watch. Wished that the Maximals were in the movie more but thats a small nitpick. Id give it a 8/10.
I think one reason they didn't have the maximals on much is because its NWH all over where they didn't get to corporate as much as they wanted to because they were filming during covid. So I think people should cut this Transformers film some slack, especially since they're trying to go a route where it's not the same thing we've seen over and over.
I have to say that this was my favorite transformers movie. I was engaged the whole time, and liked that the movie was more about the bots with the humans mixed in. I also loved that they brought in older transformers along with the maxamals and some autobots from other series. If you are going to spend millions of dollars making a movie for die hard fans, you have to do what you can. I thought this was the best of all of them so far. Thanks for the reaction.
I really like the Maximals because they're way more compassionate, like Bumblebee from the autobots. I remember seeing Rise of the Beasts it is really great.
I love how she got so invested in Apelinq at the beginning, honestly a LOT of people did when introduced to him in such a short time (myself included)
I ENJOYED THE MOVIE! Definitely One of the Better Transformers Movies!
Holden, G.I. Joe and Transformers had a great crossover in the comic book. Megatron and Cobra Commander working together and Optimus with Duke. it was awesome! They had a good number of stories together. I hope they do it, I'll watch it.
There a comic I have with a Transformers and Terminator crossover which was a lot of fun.

After SO many years, I was so happy they FINALLY did Unicron right.
Only TWO things could have made this movie better:
1. Orson Welles' imposing Unicron voice (unfortunately, he died in 1986 with the original animated movie being among his last works)
2. A Linkin Park ending song
Also, the G.I. Joe twist at the end is not new. Transformers and G.I. Joe have crossed over before in comics. And it's been a pipe dream of 80's kids that it would ever happen in a movie. But now it's definitely happening.
"definitely happening" based on what? A tease at the end of a movie? Those have led to nothing plenty of times.
@@godmagnus True, end credits stingers *have* led to nothing in the past, but those were absolutely rare, especially in the last 10 years. And most of them were either anime adaptations that were doomed from the start, or over-ambitious franchises that tried to make Infinity War-level crossover universes right from the get-go. In the last 10 years, there's really only one big tease that went nowhere (and technically it *did* go somewhere, just in a different way): Transformers: The Last Knight. Its stinger teased the arrival of Unicron. But that timeline was de-canonized when Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts rebooted the live action Transformers universe.
So based on the way end credit teasers have gone in the last 20 years, there's a 1% chance AT MOST that this tease won't come to fruition.
I loved this movie when I went to see it. I laughed at some parts, got emotional at others, I got a little bit annoyed at others, too. I wasn't expecting to love Mirage as much as I did, given who his voice actor was, but surprise surprise. The teamwork between the Autobots and the Maximals as they worked together to take down the Terrorcons and Unicron was amazing. I felt my jaw drop when I saw Scourge kill Bumblebee, but I was ecstatic when he made his epic entrance into the fight after being re-energized by all the Energon deposits.
Honestly, hearing the voices of Peter Cullen and Ron Perlman in the same movie is way too cool to not love. I gave this movie a solid 9/10.

Arcee, Wheeljack, and Mirage were in the Previous Transformers Movies, Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon. Arcee is One of the Main Female Transformers and she was in ROTF with her "Sisters" and Wheeljack and Mirage were in DOTM, but They were Known as Que and Dino.
When i saw this in theaters and bumblebee "died" my first thought was nah he aint dead, then my second was wow jen is gonna love this🤣
Rise of the Beasts is just so good, I wish it was in theaters for the rest of the year because, at least in Finland, it was in theaters only for 2 months! And I wanna watch it again!
When Noah goes for the interview at the end and the guy is basically telling him he knows about everything, I'm thinking it's Sector 7 which was shown a bit with the military in the Bumblebee movie. And when it's shown it's actually GI Joe I was really caught off guard but genuinely satisfied. While also remembering Hasbro, so yeah it made sense

The Airazor dieing scene made me cry so much, with Airazor telling Primal it is ok and seeing the pain in Primal face, I just couldn't hold back the crying, I love Bumblebee but Airazor just got to me more.😭❤️🦅

Same Rise of the Beasts was very Epic and such an awesome film to the franchise its awesome in my opinion because it actually shows unicron as a planet not earth as much as I loved TLK And the entire Bayverse Rise Of The Beasts is a breath of fresh air

Fun fact they had to bring in a second company to do some of the CGI cause the company that won the bid was having trouble completing on time and some of the stuff wasn’t properly done. The new company added Apelinq at the beginning to help the story of you watch Scourge in the rest of the film you won’t see Apelinq’s emblem on his shoulder. I like how they are showing a Hispanic person with Sickle Cell. It’s mainly be shown as an African American disease but does affect some South American groups. 9:06 this is the first time mirage is in live action. 20:30 what’s interesting is Optimus Primal learned how to be himself from studying Optimus Prime and in this Optimus Prime learned to be a good leader from Primal. 30:34 this scene almost didn’t happen. They wanted to do the crossover and Spielberg was for it but Michael Bay took forever to respond to them to allow it.

Exosuit existed in the cartoons. Power wise irs on par to a minicon which they are strong enough to blast enemies and carry/pull big things.
For me, Transformers is the kind of show where you pick your favorite character based on vibe. I see a red truck with a commanding voice talking catchphrases and kicking ass and I immediately want to buy an action figure.
Hailee Steinfeld said recently that she's open to returning as Charlie Watson. Paramount will probably have to crack open their checkbook to get her back.
Transformers Prime is incredible
I doubt they'll ever react to it. They care more about marvel and Star wars than anything, I doubt they'll ever put it on their patreon polls.
Officially mirage was in dark of the moon as the red Ferrari but they called him Dino I am glad they showed mirage in his true form a formula one car even though it was only for a second also glad prime was shown in his proper truck form as well
I definitely recommend Transformers Prime. Story wise it is the absolute best Transformers show out of all of them. Like Star Wars: The Clone Wars, if you can see past the child-like cartoon elements, it is definitely worth the watch.

Here's some needed information.
Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts are complete reboots of the franchise.
It wasn't intended to be this way at first but after the success of Bumblebee they decided to reboot it so they can tell more story without relying on the Bay films.
Transformers Rise Of The Beast puts me in tears after seeing Optimus Prime being save by Noah an Optimus Primal during the final battle while hearing Steve Jablonsky old music score Arrival To Earth playing
I liked that they changed Optimus up a little in this movie... you guys pointed it out, he felt a bit rough around the edges and not the Optimus that we're used to, which was good.
This definitely rates as my favourite of all the live-action Transformer movies. Was very cool they got Peter Dinklage as Scourge; he did such a great job and Michelle Yeoh as Aerazor was very very cool. Nice to see a Transformers movie without the usual Decepticons for a change.... a nice change-up from the other ones.
With the G.I.Joe thing, the comics had Transformers and G.I.Joe crossing over a lot, so didn't feel really forced to me. Will be awesome to see that on the big screen. :)
I hope we get more sequels after rise of the beasts and Transformers ONE
They better do it fast, peter Cullen isn't going to voice optimus for a hundred more movies. That's why I wish they finished the bayverse with 6th film and then started with something seperate like they're doing now.

I personally like there to be a new autobot/ human relationship, bee had 6 movies about his. it was time for a new bot to shine, no hate at bee either I love him but he’s had a ton of screen time as it is.
This time, Optimus has the most screentime out of all the Autobots.
I can say for sure, the flow of this movie is perfect, not too slow or fast. I wanted more fight scenes but I’m actually happy with this film, finally happy to see something good even if people say otherwise.

Optimus Primal and the Maximals for appeared all the way back in 1996"s Transformers Beast Wars in the Maximals were the descendants of the Autobots while there was a faction called the Predacons who were the descendants of the Decptiotcons and place in a prehistoric planet we would find in the 2nd season is actually prehistoric Earth. 3 seasons, Awesome show!
I know this is a reboot but its interesting to see how optimus acts towards humans in this one. Hes visibly untrusting of them and it takes noah and everyone around him to help him see that they arent all bad. So if you were to say Bay verse and this were in same universe it makes optimus character even more tragic when the humans turn on them in transformers 3 and then literally kill ratchet in 4. You can tell he was actually hurt by that. He was betrayed by people he probably thought of as friends and comrades. I love how the moies are different universes but the characters growth in the newer movies still tie into the bay movies even if its not much.
arcee is also in Revenge of the Fallen, but there are THREE of her. Lennox literally calls her "Arcee TWINS!!" She also gets a full on Megatron shot in the back as she's talking to Sam and Mikeala that destroys one of her.

RE G.I.JOE and Transformers - There have been multiple comic crossovers between them. There were Easter eggs hinting at a shared universe in the early Transformer movies and G.I.JOE movies. There are even hints to a shared universe in the old cartoons - Cobra Commander is even in the Transformers cartoon as a merc hired to help the Decepticons.

Unicron is the Big Giant Evil Planet! Unicron was Teased back in The Last Knight and Had the Michael Bay Transformers continued with TF6, Unicron would have been the Big Bad in it!
So context behind G.I.joe is that long ago the 2 were paired in comics till they ultimately seperated but there are still references in a specific episode of the original cartoon
surprised me, had it on drive for a long time, was bored yesterday and watched it, much better than I assumed, it had some PC, but not a much as I expected
To answer your question about why they can't all just turn into planes, I feel that it has something to do with whatever they turned into back on Cybertron. Flying is a very rare trait that most Transformers are unable to achieve. I remember reading one of the Transformer novels where the Autobots went to the planet of Velocitron, where their society was centered around racing as the inhabitants could only turn into land-based vehicles and they were fascinated when they discovered that one of the visiting Autobots could turn into a jet.
Most of the flyers were part of the military, which largely sided with the Decepticons when the war broke out. Judging from his size and personality, I would say that Stratosphere was a low-altitude cargo hauler that was just happy flying from place to place, so it would make sense that he joined the Autobots.
Holden! Look into the lore of BEAST WARS and BEAST MACHINES!!! You'll see they kept the Maximal's history intact in this film
Transformers and G I Joe have a history together they were mainly in the Comic Books, but them adding G. I. Joe only make sense.
I liked this movie. Loved the Transformers. This is why it is the best Transformers focused film. Had a lot more Transformers screen time than any other TF Movie. Optimus Prime is having that Characger Arc and Noah having an Arc, too. Haha, funny, Noah's Ark 😅.
The Optimus and Noah are not getting a long time so I appreciate Noah as a characger cause thats What Prime needed to Grow as a Leader and get a long with Humans and having Primal who is older really show each other they need to come to an agreement. That was my favorite aspect of the film. CGI was great except for like a couple of scenes, which is fine. As you said, I did wish we got a little more back story with some Transformers. But I disagree with you saying you wanted more with Scrouge. We got enough back story. He works with Unicron, and if He does something that displeased Unicron, he tortures him and has a ton of Badges of Killed Bots on him. Well thats enough for me at least. Overall, I liked the movie. I wish we got more Maximals screen time and Dialogue. 7.5/10

This and bee are my faves as a hardcore Tf fan finally a told movie where they are actual characters
3:44 slight discrepancy here. Gorillas actually don’t beat their chests with their fists but, rather, with their open palms. (Yes, I know this is a robot. I just thought it would be something neat to share.) They also only do that to warn off potential threats.
Honestly, his left palm looks open. The only reason his right is closed is because he's holding the Scorpion's head. But the left looks like how traditional gorillas beat their chest
Rise of the Beasts is my new favorite of all the Transformers movies. I feel it was better than the last couple of the Bayverse movies. I loved that they went back to an 1980s version of the look of the Transformers to give the movie a more realistic look having been set b in the 1990s.

I respect your opinion but they did explain about scourge, unicron basically posseses him and unicron is pure evil so. And me personally i always loved the human/bot relationship. He really expands upon how prime and bee and the others became so trusting of humans in the later movies, cause the primals were the first to trust humans. Shows primes character development. One more thing in the comics transformers and gi joe already did a crossover so its not some random idea they had and just put together. Its actually a thing.
I honestly thought you guys saw it in theaters already but I'm really happy you guys didn't love your reactions and can't wait for this one.

Apparently holden and Jen think it's poop on the floor with a diamond inside. I love holden and Jen, but they except too much. They act like Transformers is supposed to be as cinematic as the mcu.

as a person who watched almost every form of transformers media before this, i really enjoyed this movie, the only things i didnt like was how scourge was written compared to the '86 movie, and the design of wheeljack, a VW Bus in ROTB compared to a italian sports car in G1, and i thought pete davidson did a great job as mirage, a character who in the G1 cartoon, was always the mysterious character and whos loyalties were always questioned, i did like the personality change tho for him in ROTB, in the end 8.5/10
I'm posting late because I wasn't sure about watching this. Didn't see it in theaters and wasn't sure about getting spoiled. This watch has made me want to see it. And I loved the Bumblebee movie. I was happy to see the reference to the first movie and see her as the new Hawkeye.

26:14 you know, I thought Turbo Teen was some kinda fever dream for years. The only thing I could even vaguely remember were panels from a coloring book depicting a horrifying conversion. When Robot Chicken did a Turbo Teen parody? I kinda lost it.
Started screaming “its real! Turbo Teen exists!” To say that my friends and family were confused and shocked is an understatement.
