Really great flying, showing off some of that sweet heritage of CL flying - use a safety lanyard, would hate to see a classic flying off the reservation... Nice bird, great flying...
My father and I can not stand using safety lanyards...We only use them at contest when we are required too...The only way a plane is gonna get away from us is if both lines break (which wont happen) or we have a heart attack and die while flying. But if you prefer flying with one go for it!
Roger that. Lanyard = AMA insurance compliant though. If I tried to fly without one, something would happen and I would be out of luck... Is the engine in the video the original? Sounds muffled, what is it? really nice looking plane, I downloaded the plans after I saw your video... Cheers, PG
Peter Gregory Yea where we fly is a park specifically for Control Line flying so we are pretty safe. The motor is an original Italian Super Tigre 46 with a tongue muffler.
Thanks. I think this sport is undersold - ha. Trying to get a local group going. I may have to approach the Counties about using one of their parks. Best, PG
You say your Shark 45 is 35 years old..I've still got a "Green Box" Nobler that was built n' finished back in '63, it's on it's 2nd cover job now and still going strong. Presently I'm having tremendous fun flying my 5 year old Fox 35 powered ARF Nobler...it's hard to believe it flys as well as it's older siblings...the monokote still looks "spiffy" after many gallons of fuel & flights. Thanx for the smiles with your Stiletto.
Sweet Jimmy! We also Have a Nobler that is older than dirt and George Aldrich actually built some of it! The shark by the way is still in its original mono-kote finish
Just bought a Jetco kit for this one. Can't wait to build and fly it!!
Nothing can compete the old time CL models 🌹🌹🌹
Hello, great video. Can you show pictures of the landing gear please?
I picked up a JETCO Shark 45 at my clubs auction. Next build after Jnr Nobler. I might put a OS.AX55 in it.
