  • Happy new year 2023! Some of you call this after Christmas sale, or winter sale. The day after Christmas is Boxing Day for us, and December is the height of summer here! 😁
Here are my First Open Bangle & Moments Double Wrap Bracelet.
    --
    UPDATE 2023
I never did wear charm bracelets before this, and it looks like I still don't.
    --
At almost half the price especially for those Star Wars charms I was going to get anyway, I could not resist. (As you can see from the much nicer boxes these were purchased at their brick and mortar store).
Once all the charms, clips, bangles, and bracelets arrived, including retired ones, I will show all of my collection in a future video.
    For now, we have:
Grogu and the Millenium Falcon charms, the Star Wars Light & Dark open bangle, Moments (snake chain) double wrap sparkly barrel clasp bracelet from my local Pandora Boxing Day Sale. The older Tigger (which I prefer so I am very happy about that), the Storm Trooper white helmet, and R2D2 (which I heard has been discontinued) from Pandora's Boxing Day Sale online.
With all the sliding of charms all over the chain and weight distribution and what not, I realised I can not get away without more clips! I only have one for now, The Death Star from their Star Wars collection and only because I wanted it as a charm and not a clip.
I can’t find any clips that I like and it seems like I need at least one more. The Death Star is the only clip I have and I bought it as a charm more than anything during the free bangle promo. At this point I am not keen on doubling designs, so no two same clips or charms. But I may be forced to change my mind on this.
Off I go to eBay and FB marketplace.
Everything else on my wishlist will have to wait.
    UPDATE
I found clips on FB Marketplace and Ebay, and finally bought another Dark Star clip while the 50% sale is still on.

    BTS CHARM BRACELET
This is what brought me to @TheOfficialPandora
Stay tuned for the BTS charm bracelet I am trying to "build".
The theme will be centred around the events in 2022: Their solo projects, albums, theme, songs, but in particular their two year hiatus 2023-2025 as a group, as they serve their mandatory military service in stages.
(One already enlisted in Dec 2022, when I started shopping for my first charm. The other six will follow in stages throughout 2023. The period of enlistment is 18 months. So in order to resume as a group in 2025 they all have to finish in 2024 or sometime in 2025. Which means all of them would have to enlist by the end of 2023).
(This mandatory military service for BTS had been controversial. Due to South Korea frequently and regularly granted special "exemptions" for able bodied men who are considered to increase the profile of South Korea culturally and nationally. Such as football (soccer) players and classical musicians. Or those of high political and social influence (members of chaebols, ministers, professors) who are able to pull some strings via the health condition route. It was especially controversial internationally given BTS' role as the first global popular culture icon of the 21st century of Asian origin, and ambassador to many around the world to South Korean culture through their lyrics, music, and performances. BTS gaining recognition globally before receiving the same from their own country, is not new. Especially given the highly prejudicial attitude people have about pop as a form of real art ("idol" music in South Korea), and perhaps the colonial mentality still plaguing most Asian nations and cultures with the disbelieve that any Asian act can dominate the world and surpassed their Western counterparts. This story is still continuing to unfold).

Fun to watch your collection grow ... Pandora has a way of doing that! 😅 Nice to hear the meanings behind the charms; “It’s never too late to start living” and “A butterfly only has moments not months, and it’s time enough”. Thanks for sharing! 🥰

So gutted that they have retired their Star Wars collection because I just discovered them! I am still looking for Grogu & Crib!

Hi I like the open bangle but I heard the balls clasp of that bangles always get lost. I was wondering how true is that ? Thank you!

Hello. The balls are fastened by a spring and catch mechanism by pressing and turning to lock them in. I can see how this might become lose if not fastened properly or perhaps after some time if the spring became lose. I am not sure I am new to Pandora myself and have at the the time of writing this stopped buying Pandora. Good luck!

Hi, Pandora used to sell double clips years ago. They would be perfect for this style bracelet. The butterfly murano is beautiful. You seem to like your bracelets on the larger size?

I found the 17 cm too tight with lots of charms even if it does still fit. Without charms 17 cm is OK. So now I wear 19 cm, but have bought both sizes. Pandora guide seem to also suggest 19 cm for a 17 cm wrist? I have found a double clip on eBay and it is coming to me all the way from the UK. It was priced OK but sadly too much after tax, shipping costs, and currency conversion

@@OrangeIsTheNewBag your wrist must be about the size of mine. They really need to make a size 18cm bangle. There's alot of us. Especially TH-camrs that need the 18 size. I guess that's why I mostly put charms on the bracelets. The 18cm is perfect for me. I did hear the double wrap bracelet sized larger. It's good that you were able to find a double clip. Hopefully you can find another. If you go instore it would be a good idea to try the different style bangles and bracelets so you will know what's the best size if they pop up on sale and you purchase online. I can wear the smaller oval bangles or bracelets because the bottom part of my wrist is oval. If I get the second size of the open bangle I have to fill it completely for it to be comfortable. Again I do wish there was a size in between.

@@mad4pandora804 Hello sorry I didn’t get a notification for your posted comment. My wrist measures 17 cm tight. Pandora official page suggests 19 cm bangles and bracelets which make sense if we are adding charms. I am so used to bangles that slip through the hand that I am conditioned to look for bangles which sits just slightly lower around the cuff. But of course Pandora bangles can be opened so they don’t have to be this large. I found more and more that 17 cm is quite comfortable for me even with charms BECAUSE I don’t fill up my bracelets with them it just isn’t my style. The chain bracelet measurements is a bit all over the place for me. Some 19 cm fits ok and some 17 cm also fine but the older 19 cm sits too low on my wrist and so too large even with charms. I don’t understand how that can be if both measure 19 cm. Anyway. I will investigate that some other time. Sufficed to say now I am looking more and more for 17 cm and not 19 cm anymore.

@@OrangeIsTheNewBag you would probably enjoy an 18cm moments snake chain bracelet then if you want to fill it. What I have noticed at the pandora store is some of the chain is already relaxed and more flexible. Some are still stiff and feel more like a bangle. If they are already relaxed they do feel a bit larger. A few of the newer style clasps like the infinity clasp that's not a regular clip type is more flexible and sizes 0.5 cm approx larger. At least the one I tried. I tend to go for a stiff 18 and let it relax over time as I fill it. If you are filling it straight away a stiffer one can be a bit uncomfortable to start with for some people. A stiffer bracelet can be easier to kink too. So don't drop it or force it. There's always a way it wants to wrap around. The beauty of the bracelet is there's more sizes to choose from. If you can go into a store I would recommend looking at the different clasps and trying a few on. Do you prefer to have a firm bracelet like I do when it's as full as you want to wear it. Or do you want it to move up and down and around your wrist. Do you want to wear a safety chain? Do you want clip stations? Just a few things to think about. I'm guessing I will have to try and do a video on this subject asap. I have a friend staying for the next few days so I won't be able to do it just yet unfortunately.
Hopefully some of that answered your questions.

@@mad4pandora804 Yes thank you! I am in the process of figuring out what you explained here. I prefer a stiffer chain bracelet. Yes I just found out about how the chain bracelet has a “direction” it wants to wrap and I just followed it. I go to the store when I can and my double wrap snake chain bracelet is a size 18 cm. The sales assistant did say that the wrap sized differently. Right now I am most comfortable with bangles, double wrap, and open bangles 😬 Please enjoy your visitors. I just finished one lot and next lot coming in two or so weeks. Looking forward to your video whenever you upload 😁

Are you talking about the open bangle? Don’t force it please you’ll break it. Push. Then twist.
