    The ego is the mind in the world to put your mind in your heart is what Christ was trying to teach us this gentleman I believe is stuck in dualism you cannot serve two masters

      Dan Miro, how is he stuck in dualism? The ego is created by our worldly experiences, our life story written by the brain and our thinking. To put on the mind of Christ is to transcend that thinking as Merton taught, and then to live that truth we find already waiting for us in God. A certain dualism is necessary to know right from wrong. Dualistic thinking should end there, as it has for this Monk.
