The incident of his death occurred on the 12th of Rabi' al-awwal, in the year 11 AH (After Hijra), in the city of Medina. During his illness, the Prophet continued to fulfil his duties, offering guidance to his followers.
On the day of his passing, Prophet Muhammad gathered his community for one last sermon, emphasizing the importance of unity and conveying final pieces of wisdom. His message centred on the Qur'an and the Sunnah, reinforcing the foundational principles of Islam.
After the sermon, the Prophet returned to the house of his wife, Aisha (RA), where he spent his final moments. It is reported that he recited verses from the Qur'an and engaged in prayer. Subsequently, he peacefully departed from this world, marking the completion of his mission as the final messenger of Allah.
The death of Prophet Muhammad was a moment of profound grief for his companions, known as the Sahabah, who were deeply saddened by the loss of their beloved leader.
