I appreciate Brian when you mention the players that use these ideas. It helps when i am listening to them to identify what they are doing. Much appreciated, keep teaching!
For me, Saturday morning starts with watching your weekly video. My family now refers to it as Brian Day... so happy Brian Day everyone! It was worth the wait this time, thank you!
Really a valuable lesson for me Brian. I've been weaving the harmonized 6th, 4ths and 3rds into everything I play and I'm starting to really enjoy what I improvise.
Brian with sincere appreciation I want to thank you for sharing so much valuable information with us. Yes it is so important to know why these licks work but it also important to be able to learn a solo note for note. I’m grateful you are showing how to do both.
Nobody can (or find it worth) to explain the real usage and combination of scales, triads and chord tones on a common progression like you! Fabulous! So nice to see how to create these often heard sounds or phrases and where they come from. What a great lesson again! Thank you Brian! The real benefit is to understand, what’s going on, not only the licks themselves.
Brian, as usual, this is just what I was looking for! I don't know how your come up with the material you do every week! And you've been doing it for over a decade! Wow. I've only seen the into, so far. Now to watch the video and learn some MORE good stuff! (I have learned SO MUCH from you!) Thank you! I'm a life member! 👌 👍 🤪
Hey hey, go Brian go. Your so right understanding what your doing is what's beneficial to our soloing. I used to write down every note from solos of songs and when I studied it, I can do this. Thanks 🙏
Could listen to this all day, so wanna get there!! I feel i have all the knowledge, its jusst how do i put it together to make it sound like THAT!! Thank you for this!!❤❤❤❤
Yes, thank you for explaining each part of the solo, how it’s link to the chord, the type of scale etc… Very useful, I hear them but never really fully understand why. Thanks again 🙂
Damn Man! I’ve only been watching your channel for about a year but your playing just sounds top notch on this video. I guess we need more of Brian playing virtuoso style 💣
This video is everything I needed. Thank you thank you thank you!! I know all of this stuff but I learned it from a rhythm perspective and the parts like the harmonized 6s I know them but very much struggle with either the creativity or the vision of putting all these things together for a decent lead line. And of course not just doing the lines but phrasing something that resembles something meaningful as oppose to clusters of notes for a minute. So, I feel like I owe you some money. Thank you
Thanks Brian, this s great. I’ve been listening to Lari Basillio (Far More) recently, she uses very distinctive scales and runs in her playing. I’d love to see a lesson decoding some of her approach for us in the future please. Keep up the great work.
if you havent signed up for lessons do it..... i know wair my money is going .. iv learned so much from Brian .. im going to be digging in to this on big time
Hi Brian, I'm going to get to lesson 2 of 581 for repeating and to get part 2of the lessons . Hopefully. I don't have much luck with that but I will try.
I got a bit lost with the diminished scale bit, decided to look up some scale patterns - got confused because they didn't match what Brian was playing - then fell down a rabbit hole of two different diminished scales (whole/half & half/whole)...I quickly dug myself out by reminding myself that I don't like jazz. The rest of the licks were great 👍👍
Hey Brian I’m located in Tacoma Washington and was wondering if you are located on the west coast just curious. But I also seek information about computer hardware. Wondering do you use a program to decipher and print out tablature to help with learning songs? Does such a thing exist that you could download the song of your choice and have the program print out the lead guitar parts? Also I have been a premium member about year now. I have grown so much and am very grateful to have found your channel. If only this information was available in in 1980 when I first started guitar.

Happy Brian day and festivas
I keep telling myself to lay off licks for a while and work on songs.....but then you nail me again and again with another irresistible lesson
So true .
Yeah same here
😂 never lay of licks
Really a valuable lesson for me Brian. I've been weaving the harmonized 6th, 4ths and 3rds into everything I play and I'm starting to really enjoy what I improvise.
Perfect timing! I'm sitting playing blues and just caught your video fresh off the presses

@1:43 ... QUOTE "And the real value add here is ..." Truer words were never spoke! The rest of the lesson was great ... but this advice is WISDOM!
Happy Brian Day to everyone learning a new lick! Thank you Brian for the new lick ideas and i really like the harmonized 6th sounds:)
That helps a lot Brian. Hearing your thoughts and seeing. I get it when you do that. Then I can pause and apply. Expand. You are on it. Thanks. Bill
Superbly thought out lesson Brian. This is GOLD to a lot of us. Cheers!
You never seize to amaze me. Long may it last

Your playing is getting really good!
Another captivating must learn lesson from Brian!

Brian never reveals his last name on this channel so I've been referring to him as Brian Sensei. Maybe now I should call him Brian Virtuoso!
Absolutely a fantastic guitar lesson thank you very much
Lots of information in this video. Loved that Diminished lick
Wow, what a lesson. thx Brian. It,s a all in one lesson for me.
Thanks Brian. Very useful. I love all the licks and the diminished scale

Brian’s awesome 👏🏼 timeless knowledge
Awesome on screen video pointers Brian. If I made videos, I would put them in as well. Your the best teacher.
I hear the Phish song "Stash" big time in the diminished line. Good stuff!
Sounds so good! Thanks Brian
This inspires me to write the next big hit!
You make me another Happy saturday~watching in Korea.
Beautiful and refreshing

Wow, what a great lesson!
W🤩W! How did you know I needed to learn some licks?! 🤔
GOD BLESS THIS MAN
Hi Brian, I'm going to get to lesson 2 of 581 for repeating and to get part 2of the lessons . Hopefully. I don't have much luck with that but I will try.
Watch your lesson last night bril wish I could play that quick
Fantastic licks🎸
Wow, great lesson THANKS!
Great lesson! Thank you
Your best ! BraVissimo !
You're starting to look like Eric Clapton
nice sound!
Outstanding!
love this guy
I tried watching this shining a light on the ipad and drinking a beer, but do you ever play clubs? It would be fun to see you play in a venue.
Not really - jam on the porch at Kimbros in Franklin Tn a lot though!
idea 3 sounds like steely dan to me. 😎

Not a bad way to deal with it - you certainly don’t have to learn it all- just the things that you like!
Man AWESOME !!
❤❤ I love it
Very nice💪🎸
Thank you
A lot Jerry Garcia in this solo... Nice.

Could you do the song “Through It All” by Andraé Crouch like you did Amazing Grace? Something a man could even sing along when playing it.
Great
Nice ! What amp, sounds fantastic.
Playing through a line 6 helix
C'mon Bri, when is that guitar collection review coming?
🎸🔥🤯❤️
Fuckin guy is AWESOME 🎸🎸🎸
I got my sack and am filling it with as many gold nuggets as I can carry
You look a lot like the guy over at active melody 😂😂
I like that Albert King lick but the rest of it is too fast for me, i am a slow blues player being a beginner.
Man now that’s lots of riff 😅
I must ask "Who's your top 3 favorite guitar players for solo's?"
That list changes all the time - hard to nail down.
@@activemelody I get it. I have a hard time too. But Jimmy Page and Gilmour are always at the top of my list on classic rock.
bro this SHIT IS THE SHIT
I’ll have to learn this now 😅
