Best episode of the entire series that was The Magicians, and my personal fav. episode. It’s so tragi-beautiful and meaningful and powerful. Then the master stroke of how it loops back around much later, and in spectacular, emotional and incredible fashion: “Peaches and Plums mother effer; who gets proof of concept like that?” Ugh that line and the scene between them that happens right before it, when El faces his demons, gets me every single time. And I cry for them because they had something so beautiful, yet never was, and sadly it was doomed to never be. RIP to The Magicians, one of the greatest fantasy shows of all time, and to Q & El, soulmates who, once and never, lived to discover “the beauty of all life”; and show it to us in the process 😭❤️
I've loved The Magicians since it came out!!! Always been a fave. It's been a while but I'm rewatching the series again and I fell in love with this episode all over again. If you see this comment, I encourage you to rewatch!
Magicians fucking Magicians!!! The mosiac scenes tore me apart and build me back up into a better person. What a beautiful episode. Life is fucking beautiful.
This song was just featured in the show "The magicians" season 3 episode 5. The scene it was used in brought tears to my eyes. Thank you phoria, thank you for your contribution in the most moving scene of a show I've ever witnessed.
3 years later but I finally saw this episode of The Magicians and it helped me realise there is good in our struggles in life. Going through a tough time but getting better. This song is amazing in that scene. Everyone, stay positive as best you can! Stay Strong!
The Magicians brought me here. I’m a loyal fan since Season one, and this episode was one of the best. Every time I listen, I’ll think of Eliot and Quentin. ❤️
Eliot and Quentin spending their lives together it was so beautiful. I was crying and when Eliot died this was really beautiful episode I will always ship them
The Magicians brought me here, S3 Ep 5 A Life in the Day. RIP Eliot and Arielle. S3 Ep 5. Never cried so much because of a TV show before. This episode really brought the emotions out.
I cried too. I broke in tears when I've seen the kid I was like "omg it's not possible they really will live their entire life here, they're endgame they will die". I really thought in the instant we would never see them again in the show T.T
Guys? I really get all teh good music to listen to through tv shows like "Lucifer" or "The Magicians". And second mentioned one is letting me melt all over again. Eliot und Quentin living their lives apart from their friends but still trying to solve the riddle of the mosaik... the riddle to bring magic back without using magic to show the beauty of live... well, it was so lovely to see them together, struggling with frustration, having fun together and trying to do their job, seeing them in love and pain, in joy and grieve and accepting it at a given thing... I almost started crying but then, when Q does the right thing and gives the Key away to get it back by Margo at another time so she could save their friends from sacrificing themselves for the purpose... and then when they start to remember their lifes again by reading the letter, and eating one of the peaches, which must be from a certain person... that was a very touching episode. The song was perfect for this.
Oh my *A* >/////>" thank you very much. since I am from germany my english does suck really much, but when you say its "eloquent" ? then I must have done something right this time XD *blush*
youuploader 1 Everyone who came to listen to this song because of the magicians, had watched the episode. no other source, no other scene. besides, i am not the only one who mentioned that and i still haven't given anything away. so chill, bro, or go and comment on every post about the episode, not just mine.
Hana J he says my grandkids, if you put on the cc you’ll see that it says my grandkids. If you turn it up you can hear the word my not the. I felt like he should have said the grandkids bc Elliot raised his son with him and as such he’s a grandpa too.
This track makes we want to do things I've never done before! 💪Like a trip around the world just on my own. 🌍 What are things you've never dared or never thought you could do?
Never thought I could leave all my friends and family in France to live a life for one year in Costa Rica. I'm here right now and I'm so proud I actually did it. Only have 99 days left in this beautiful country
Never know how to feel about this song. It makes me wanna cry it has a nostalgic feel to it the episode too was emotional. This song is absolutely beautiful. I love it
The Magicians is such a wonderful piece of art and I’m glad it made me know about that song and even about what the meaning of the show is. BIG LOVE FOR COMMUNITY
There has to be a reason that scene is stuck in my mind, and I can't seem to get it out. I've never had this happen to me. One of the most beautifully epic scenes I've ever seen, with amazing music to follow. Thank you. Can't wait for season 4. ❤👍😇
That episode of the magicians was literally the most beautiful and moving storyline in the history of television and it truly hits in the last scene of the episode where they get deja vu and the song starts playing again. Truly genius. I think this is going to send their friendship and bond into something very deep. It truly was the beauty of life. Such good writing from the producers, this show is dope👐
The Magicians brought me here searching for this beautiful song that was featured in 3x05. 🕊🌙🌠 it was so damn beautiful and heart wrenching to watch. Great work as always!!! Love the magicians and this song.
They found the beauty of all life by spending the rest of their lives solving the mosaic. Great episode with a beautiful lesson. It's not about the quest,it's about the journey and where it takes you. Life is something to be cherished. Live it to the fullest.
Yeah when Q found the gold tile when he was digging Elliot’s grave my girlfriend was like “So what if they happened to dig there years earlier?” I suggested it wouldn’t have been there as the point of that particular quest was the beauty of life. Them arguing, bonding, falling in love (arguably), starting a family, experiencing loss together, and ultimately accepting the sacrifice they made for their friends was the real quest. The mosaic was just a common goal that kept them motivated, but the objective of that quest was everything else that happened while they tried to solve it. So beautiful, and this song just fits so damn perfect it makes me wanna hug the producers/music composer.
I thought the same thing as your girlfriend lol. I thought that the quest was a trick question to find the beauty of life. That instead of making the mosaic they should fix the dead garden around the mosaic to show the true beauty of life. Once it revealed the tile was in the garden I was shocked. If they would have done that they'd have found the golden tile sooner. But the way they did it was just absolutely beautiful and I wouldn't change it.
A life in the day fucked me over. Such a beautiful episode, filled me with happiness, hope, love but also with a beautiful sadness. This is a perfect song for it
Here in 2022! 🙋♀️ a little late, but so in love with this scene! Allll the feeels! It was so unexpected but just incredible how that short scene contained both the meta and the mundane of life - and that was absolutely the beauty of it. And Qeliot! 😍 whether it was romantic or a life partnership - (imo, it was both!) - that bond of a life lived together and in pursuit of something greater than themselves - ughhh, it was just incredible to witness. It’s inspired me greatly! ❤️ and this song was just perfect! 👌
So I’m a ex-dancer, and after being inspired by this scene in The Magicians, I have come up with an idea for a modern/lyrical dance piece called “The Mosaic,” and it would be to this song, along with a few audio clips from the show itself to sort-of semi explain the principle of the mosaic.🤗 The piece itself would be a sort of group-dance, where you have a total of 8 dancers: 2 junior(child) dancers, 2 teen/young-adult dancers, 2 principal (middle aged) dancers, and 2 older dancers (the oldest dancer one could find☺️), each pair would include one male dancer and one female dancer. So I could see each pair coming on one at a time, almost like a series of duets, starting with the youngest. Each time you transition from one pair to the next, the male dancers confront their older/younger counterparts, in the way of mirroring their dance and then continuing the dance for them as they exit. Then towards the end, the eldest dancer sort of looks back on his “past selves” and “his memories”, until finally getting to his “child-self”, sharing a hug. Then as he “grows weaker” the rest of his younger selves come out to wrap him in a blanket, then to cuddle up around him as he “passes on.” This signifies that even as you grow older, and even in the moment you pass on, you’re always that same person you were all those years ago. Your past and your memories stay with you till the end. Idk, just a thought. I think it might look better to pull more focus towards the male dancers, and to use the female dancers as more supporting-roles, to give him more experiences for the representation of his life. The female child dancer could be the childhood best friend, the teen girl could be the young love, the adult women could be marriage, and the older woman could be growing old together. Though she wouldn’t be present in the final scene, she would be dancing with her male partner before growing faint in his arms and him carrying her off-stage, as he does so, their teen selves dancing on the other side of the stage, representing the beginning of their relationship. and before anyone calles me sexist for suggesting the female dancers play the supporting roles, I only say that because in the scene, it’s Eliot and Quinton who grow old, not Alice or Margo. I think showing the story of the guy would pay better homage to the original inspiration of the piece, giving a similar feeling that the episode has given the viewers 😅 lol ik that was a lot but i felt like i had to get that out there... maybe someone will see this and it will actually become a thing? idk... if it does i honestly don’t care about “receiving credit for the idea”, i just want this to be a thing so bad i don’t care who gets credit for it! So make it happen someone, and send me a link to the vid when you do! 😂❤️
Listening to this with my eyes closed, just breathing, I felt like I was flying over that jungle in the photo!! Incredible music made the hairs on my arms stand :') Powerful!
thank you magicians for bringing me here.dunno if it was the music or just the plot,i felt like i couldnt breath during the particular scenes...amazing episode ,amazing music

The Magicians brought me here. I’m a loyal fan since Season one, and this episode was one of the best. Every time I listen, I’ll think of Eliot and Quentin. ❤️
Yes! The montages with E and Q were some of the best scenes I've ever seen in a series. I was so moved. This song will always remind me of that kiss.
I ship them so hard lol I hope that they will get together but I dont think its possible
Eliot dying was sad indeed.. But for me, seeing Q weep in tears after Arielle died shook me. Arielle is bae. Good thing Fen is still alive.
I wish they could have found another way to keep Quintons character alive.
Thank you for showing us "the beauty of all life" with this song.

Can’t wait for the new season of the Magicians in 2019 #love
So I’m a ex-dancer, and after being inspired by this scene in The Magicians, I have come up with an idea for a modern/lyrical dance piece called “The Mosaic,” and it would be to this song, along with a few audio clips from the show itself to sort-of semi explain the principle of the mosaic.🤗
The piece itself would be a sort of group-dance, where you have a total of 8 dancers: 2 junior(child) dancers, 2 teen/young-adult dancers, 2 principal (middle aged) dancers, and 2 older dancers (the oldest dancer one could find☺️), each pair would include one male dancer and one female dancer.
Then as he “grows weaker” the rest of his younger selves come out to wrap him in a blanket, then to cuddle up around him as he “passes on.”
This signifies that even as you grow older, and even in the moment you pass on, you’re always that same person you were all those years ago.
I think showing the story of the guy would pay better homage to the original inspiration of the piece, giving a similar feeling that the episode has given the viewers 😅

Its an amazing song for practicing yoga to as well (PS - also a dancer - and you are never an EX dancer. The Dance stays with you *forever*) XO
