Don't forget Coop! Sure he had the AC 'comfy car' all week, but he didn't just play passive 'chase car', he put in a real effort at the track all his own. He ran someone else's car, with way less track time experience, and pulled a 5th place just 'having fun'. That ain't shabby!

Drag racing is the heart of this channel. Everything else is just okay but seeing the joy here and the joy in the stick shift GM record video made me tear up.

Jamie has been steadily flying under the radar until this! He's such a hard working dude. In literally everyones videos this week he's in the back with the car on jacks and he managed to pull it off thats so motivating to never give up. Brent, George, Coop, James, and Cleet you guys have the best attitudes and are more inspiring to me because of that than having the sickest cars. No lie, I almost tear’d up seeing Jamie get an award. I watched him on PFI struggle so much with that car, and still troop to the finish. He definitely deserves that, and I hope him the best of luck next time. 👍🏻
Same, he definitely deserved that. Since day one he'd been fighting The Curse tooth and nail, and did whatever he could when issues came up, all the while lending a hand wherever he could. Full zombie mode on the last day and finished the event off like a champ. Can't wait to see him next time.
Thank God he switched to an auto box. Sure it was hot on the road a couple of times and the torque convertor must be ballooning up from heat and crushing the crank thrust bearings, but it made it to the end. Well, after being removed 4 times! It was a great, great idea. I still remember the first rips up and down the road in Florida. The sound of the first shifts! Yoww! He really pushed as hard as anyone could that has a possesed car without all the "kinks" worked out. He might still be asleep right now!
This man deserved rookie of the year he put blood sweat and tears and a massive amount of effort in to this and never give up fought to the end

I've been watching you this past year I'm a Fifty year old father and and a former speed shop operator. So the reason I'm writing is I'm actually was glad I got to follow your guy's journey and you accomplishments. I have a 28 yr old son who I'm very proud off I haven't seen him since 2007 why? Thats a good question. But again I just wanted to say congratulations to you and your crew I wish I get the chance to meet you sometime and. Only thing that could have made this better? Happening on Independence Day. With everything happening in our country, this video reminded me of what’s important. Friendship and maximum horsepower. The boom in participation and attendance this year was definitely due to the Cleetus factor, and that never happens if Jamie doesn't drive through the night to rescue Ruby & Leroy last year.

Stick vs auto mainly. Look at the mph, lot more power on Leroy.
JeremyShred which should finally put to rest the idea that Leroy needs body panels. He doesn’t, his first 100 feet is where he’s losing against a car that hooks and has an auto. No one has been able to get down the track like Ruby in their class, that’s car is set up right and kills it to the 100 foot mark. Leroy has plenty of power and doesn’t need aero, they need to get the first 100 feet dialed in.

I had the same problem with the throwout bearing in my 67 GMC on those mountain roads. It got stupid hot with all the starting and stopping in the mountains. It started screeching upon release. It what I get for using a $25 throwout bearing on a $1200 clutch. Live and learn. Congrats on your wins!!

he was only running 172 - one hundred and seventy two miles an hour! from a dead stop in a street car in a quarter mile!
It looked great but i felt all week he was slow shifting and everything. If he puts the weights back in to the black magic slipper clutch then hes out like gout bro!! On launch ruby wouldnt stand a chance thats wat i love about leroy. 0 and i mean 00 credit to aero. Simply power and a couple power adders with stickies on the back.
Also his fastest pass was a 7.8_ something if im not mistaken. It was also at 186 mph if im not mistaken so 0-186 in a quarter for a street car. Thats also no wcramble button lolololol i love these guys and the cars man!! Its really something else.
@@mychalson_bot5994 he wasn't running it as hard as possible, he didn't need to. After the first day, they knew they really didn't have any real competition. So why beat the shit out of it and risk breaking something for no reason? Watch what happens at the first track day after this. He will run WAY faster.
