That ending sax is sorely missed but they did include the little sax flourish at the beginning. It’s just super hard to hear

Also can't help but mention 0:35 that chime-like instrument solo gives me life
Those are probably tubular bells, which I and other percussionists just call chimes, and I agree! There’s something bright and joyful about metal pipes that peal when hit by hammers!

as a jacq mega fan, his inclusion in masters made me so happy and this is just the icing on the cake! so good!
What I like about this version is that it's not as loopy as the original. Each part flows perfectly, which is why the soundtrack does not become boring. Don't get me wrong, I love Toby Fox's music, but I think Masters did it better, every part of this version sounds flawlessly.

FYI, there’s like an awesome sax section at like the 4 minute part of the original song. It’s just that nobody battles for that long so you never hear it lol, and it does sound loopy so you THINK it looped already, but it actually is a lot longer than you think.
toby fox did like two or three songs in scarlet/violet i think
I imagine it might be that Toby Fox seems to primarily deal with synthesizers while ATTIC has its own recording studios and band that it regularly uses
A Toby Fox masterpiece being remixed into yet another masterpiece, yeah if Jacq has this locked behind him I'll pull him just to have this song.
Not locked to him since other Paldea teachers might get added later, but also not in the Jukebox yet.

One of the best songs to get added in a minute. This remix blew past my expectations

@@TheRealMaruki tbh the only downside of the master remixes is that they are usually shorter versions and battle zero lab it's 2:50 so I wish they don't compress it so much but aside of that yeah I also want to see what comes

I belive Penny's theme was also made by Toby Fox? And that's also in Masters. So that's 3 themes

I love this version! I thought having the saxophone doing most of the work in the original felt a little drawn-out and slow, but it's so pretty when the guitar takes over that part here. Masters did amazing with this one! :)

I think this remix sucks (this is my purely opinion) firstly they removed sax the best instrument in the original version, and in 0:36 it was ruined because the flute was removed, for some annoying replacement, nonetheless the remix feels empty and less energetic then the original.
I wonder if this them would mix with Paldea Elite Four theme for Hassel.

God, I always hated this original theme in Scarlet and Violet. While it fits the mood they wanted to create with a moment in the story that conveyed that everything is now calmed and at peace, with everyone able to just enjoy themselves after we set things right, it didn't fit a tournament atmosphere, like the one from the game. A song comprising the relief of a friendly competition with lower steaks but nonethelss having blazing passion for victory and self improvement amongst the school kids and faculty as they all engage in battle is what was needed.
[🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🤖]It's not the same without the saxo, so uninstalling this game was the right choice in the end
