@@joyfulcook thank you for the reply ma
As I don't have non stick pot now, can I still cook this soup and it will come out like this?
First
🎉
@joyfulcook ❤As an Efik lady (from Calabar in Cross River state), this looks good and am sure taste good too. However, our cooking method differs..But when your caption says "Calabar Style", I suggest it shouldn't be twerked and should be the Calabar method. When making Authentic Calabar soups, we DO NOT use Onions in our Native Soups (Afang, Edikia-ikong, Atama, Editan, Efere Editod; which is bitter leave soup, etc) and we Never Fry our Palm Oil.
Correct babe, thank you.
They all wants to cook Calabar soup. hmmm!
Honestly 😅
I agree. I’m an Igbo lady and I don’t use onions for soups.
I'm from akwa ibom, that's exactly how I cook. I can't steam my meat without onions. I learnt from my mum and big sister's who are good cooks.
Sometimes I fry my oil as in the video, sometimes I don't depending on the taste I want at the moment.
I'm allergic to shellfish, so what do you recommend to use that would give me the same taste as the snails 🐌?
Can i use fresh bitter leaf
