  • Great Reads is a series of 200+ videos. I talk about books, fiction and non-fiction, which I have liked, for various ages, from children to adults. There will be a new video each Sunday and Wednesday. My Starting Point is Trees, but One Thing Leads to Another, like branches, to include animals and trees, Africa, China, the Age of Exploration, Australia, flight, North America, gardening and plants, the poles, life in the oceans, boats, islands, journeys, and back to trees. Ep. 65

you put out such good energy
Surtsey has REALLY sparked my imagination...it's a creation myth to me thanks a bunch! I lived down the street from Thomas Paine's residence in Manhattan as a child ...Thomas Paine: the most consistent revolutionary of all the founding fathers along with Thomas Jefferson! no one knows where his remains ended up disenterred and sent to England only to vanish ,a cool story, and only 6 people attended his funeral
March 1 1780 Pennsylvania: the FIRST state action toward total emancipation spearheaded by Paine and Franklin the fast novel on my radar!
eratosthenes was the sultan of talent
thanks so much for this brother Larry !
    I'm psyched!
esp surtsey a new myth emerges from the sea like Aphrodite
    all the best

Thank you for following the videos and for getting excited. I think that's how education should evolve. Following up on things you get excited about and one thing will lead to another. Howard Fast wrote some neat, eye-opening books, in my opinion.
