I always watch all of your videos, often while working on my own layout. I really like your scenery, it's miles better than what I can do! I hope 2025 brings you lots of train-related fun.
Watched all of it. Great video as always. That Geep 9 looks and sounds great. I’ll say it again, an SP bay window caboose would look great on any train being pulled by the GP9. Especially if you want it to look like 1987.
The GP9 sounds and looks great! I can't wait to see the treatment you give to the Santa Ana River. I know it'll be terrific. New Years Day was layout maintenance day for me, which was nice! Happy New Year, Rick!
Hi Rick. The longer vid was great.I can watch shunting for hours.Your newly weathered loco looks great with it’s rolling stock .All the best for the new year.Cheers..John from the uk
I watched the whole thing while operating my own layout. I enjoy Steve Davis’ videos, too, but your pace of operations is exactly what I strive for on my own switching layout. Happy New Year!
I wish Central Jersey Conrail was still on. Even though, that was N scale, the owner/ operator had the sound files for Applying and Releasing Breaks Plus uncoupling air hoses hiss. That adds some realism to model railroading
Love the long videos!! You’re gonna have to put links of the other channels who do long ops sessions that you mention because I can never find them. 😂 The Geep sounds great!!
Great video Rick, im really enjoying ops with the gp9, great job on the weather to. I don't always leave a comment but I always watch your new videos. Happy new year 🎉
wow rick really like that old SP geep... athearn has a SP caboose on their site... $119.00 bucks though 😮😮😮😮 BUT... at that price, i guess we're stayin' "cabooseless" 😭😭😭😭
Happy new year! What could work for a bit of light under the bridge is to have a mirror strip against the backdrop right along the edge of the bridge. It seems there is a small gap behind the bridge to pull in the light and reflect it dosn. Worked for me in a similar situation 🤔
I don't know about anybody else but I enjoy longer videos ! Running the trains at the right speed makes it look realistic.

Stayed to the end. Nice session, the GP9 sounds great!

Another great session, Rick. Also liked the SP Anaheim Local video.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed both.

Maybe some aluminium foil shiny side up could be a good measurement? 😉
Sanford seems a bit lethargic today. Too much New Year celebrating perhaps........ Anyway, great video. Thanks.
Thanks! He might be recovering from the New Year's fireworks.
You could have taken the tank cars with the hoppers instead of doing the swap out with the tank cars. Save a bit of shunting with the tank cars?
Thank you for sharing. What camera do you use for your videos? And how do I fine Steve Davies?
thx, I use a Sony ZV-1
