Amazing machine! I hope my roastery can get to a similar caliber one day. I would be interested to see your packaging equipment as well. I'm always eager to learn new ways to make my facility operate more efficiently!
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters quick question, does smoke recirculating to drum like Loring roaster? I am sure back afterburner should eliminate all smoke. I am interesting on your user experiences
After roasting, do you go through cupping for each origin before you blend? After blending, do you perform a standard cupping session to taste the blend? Or do you taste the blend by brewing it using the method you suggest for that specific blend? Or do you do both?
Both! We cup every roast and blend. As we have a great facility and very repeated roast profiles, our bean variants are very low. We also measure density, moisture, colour grade of bean inside and out side. 👍🏻
Hello We are thinking to buy a roaster to replace an old one wich is using classical drum. This hot air roaster seems amazing but we are scared that our current customers would be disapointed with a too different taste following the change of technology. What do you think? Is it a drastic change in tastes or is it still possible to reach the same panel of tastes in a better way? Thank you for your advices .
You can reach the same taste, but ask your self, are you loosing business by not having a better roast? You can make the imf roast like and old roaster but why would you spend the $
Helloo!! Greetings from Dominican Republic! Why is the ET sooo high, i have a Us roaster corp with an burner box, so is mostly convection, but the air temp goes too high 550f in order to bt to be what i need… but I think that’s dangerous!
I usually do my roasting outside, on a terrace with tiles. The chaff flies all over the place. I have noticed that since I started roasting, the ants have disappeared between the tiles. Does anybody have any experience in that too?
Great video and beautiful machine/system!!! that being said... The IMF IS A DRUM ROASTER, PERIOD. It has a DRUM. That, by definition, makes it a drum roaster. To differentiate it from a drum roaster by saying it is a hot air roaster as opposed to a drum roaster is misleading and confusing to the average person and incorrect. ALL drum roasters are hot air roasters. The majority of heating from drum roasters is over 90% from hot air, technically around 95% with the rest being conductive. The implication you are making here is false. Is it noticeably different from most drum roasters? Yes, it definitely is. Having a single, indirect heating source and recirculating the hot air while at the same time cleaning the recirculated air makes it much more efficient and environmentally friendly than a typical direct under drum heating system or even indirect under drum heating system like the Diedrichs use.
Yes your correct, we are releasing another specific video on the technology, hence we reference our page on how this works. Trying to be gradual in our info as getting to technical bores every one. 👍🏻

You should have safely cut outs before it’s dangerous. The heat comes form
The afterburner in the imf so it can run at 650 degrees c
