To be fair when N64 controllers were new they were phenomenal, it just deteriorated with use. Compare that to a Joycon that doesn't work out of the box.

For those wondering the lawsuits are on the grounds that the controllers are defective because the drift is caused by a foreseeable problem that there is steel pins in contact with fiber pieces that is internal wearing down the joy cons and causing them to read random inputs. None of the lawsuits have proven fault. most are in arbitration (where a single neutral party hears the case then the court enforces the decision) and haven’t really gone anywhere.
So Nintendo intentionally designed a children’s product to wear out quickly to force parents to buy new controllers for their kid’s switch. Guess Nintendo really hasn’t changed since the NES days. They’ll do anything to milk money out of children

These battle royale games are addictive similar to how gambling is (like a dangling carrot); however, a major difference between any gambling game and mass multiplayer games is winning is the ONLY goal for MMGs. Once you win, the anticipation ends and the dopamine subsides, so you no longer have that rush after that win. Same thing happened to me with Super Mario Bros. 35: I couldn’t put the controller down until I had my first win, then I just play it like any other game.

The quality of controllers has taken such a nosedive. My first experience with drift was on ps4 and it was one of the most infuriating experiences I've had as a gamer.
Nintendo also went from the Wii U gamepad's nice big buttons, to the tiny 3DS sized ones on the Switch. Big downgrade for people who don't have baby fingers.
@@BulborbStan The Wii U gamepad was also pretty rad. The problem was that they forced it on you just a bit much. Having an item menu or hud information at your fingertips was kind of genius.
As much as I love the concept of these retro games made battle royale, they have a BAD problem with visual clutter. There’s so much stuff on the screen at any given time. It’s like when a director who has clearly never played a single video game goes and makes up a video game in a movie.
This was my first Jerma stream and I joined just as he spent 40 minutes claiming he was going to end stream but kept on playing because he couldn't win
I get that it's stupid that you have to buy the Pro Controller to get decent controller on Switch, but given that Jerma does play Switch games every now and then, he'd have much better time if he just ordered one.
