Mistakes Defenses Make When Defending the Beast Offense

There are 3 common mistakes defenses make when they are defending the Beast Formation Offense:
1) They don't scout us. When teams don't scout of our offenses we will gut them all game long. In order to defend the beast formation you need to have an alignment adjust and match personnel. If you don't scout, you can't do that.
2) Teams don't align properly to the unbalanced formation. The beast formation doesn't feature an unbalanced line, it features an unbalanced backfield. So many times defense will either over-shift or won't shift at all.
3) Coaches will only have one level of defense. When you put all your defenders on the line of scrimmage you only have one level of defense- which means you have no pursuit players. All the players lined up opposite of the play-side have no impact on the play. All the offense has to do is break through one level of defenders to hit a big play.
