  • In this video Mike discusses the differences between the base Honda CRV LX 2WD against the Honda CRV Sport AWD. The base model begins at $34,790 CAD and the Sport begins at $41,490 CAD. In the USA, the base trim is called the EX and starts at $31,110 USD and the Sport is offered as a Hybrid. Would you buy the Toyota RAV4, Mazda CX5, Ford Escape, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson or the Volkswagen Tiguan?
Thanks to London Honda for letting us review both trims:

Tiguan. Got the blacked out Tiguan Comfort line R-line for a little bit more than the CR-V sport in this video and I can see I made the right call. Even though it's just a mainline VW, people still tell me it's a great looking car.

But I'm sure I am due to replace my phone some point the next year lol. Like that I don't have to plug my phone in for anything. Like my 22 accord lx. Similar spec Tiguan has a panoramic sunroof and a real 8 speed transmission, plus I'd argue the digital cockpit from the VW is better because it's practically from an Audi just less fancy. I'm biased though because I own a tiguan and love it. The reliability of the CR-V is probably stellar though. The curse of loving German cars is following the maintenance schedule to the letter.

Mike. Like Andrea and Zack on their “Motormouth” reviews you both are quoting the New CRV’s for 23 without tacking on the “delivery charge” for another whopping $1950.
I know because I leased one three weeks ago and I did notice that charge.
You are quoting the “Honda.ca” price you see for each trim on their website.
They like Mazda conveniently leave out the destination charge. I wonder why eh? Go figure.
Well that pun is what it’s all about & profit.
Now let’s-see delivery distance Alliston ON factory to Andrea & Zack’s “ Motormouth “ Vancouver location might be one thing BUT, BUT, BUT Allison just north of TO to London ON- really, $1950. Crazy. Really is.
My 23 EX-L after pricing and PST & GST in Manitoba comes in at a $52000.
The top Hybrid at $59000. GULP! NO BIG GULP!
    The 23 EX-L went up $3300 from the 22 EX-L!!!
GO FIGURE SOME MORE! You’ll need a calculator!
    Go Ni.
So why did I lease? I did get a good price on my trade but not a penny off of the list price of the new SUV.
