I would also warn that as people get more comfortable with up blocks. You will explode if you get predictable with the float cancels in block strings. Which if you bait them. leads into more damage for your throws, and they cannot break a thrown upblock.
That is where Kung Lao kameo comes in. It’s basically an infinite mixup of over heads and lows. If the opponent is up blocking, they will get hit by the low hat. If they are crouching to block the low hat, they will get hit by the overhead. It’s an absolute amazing mixup that has a whole bunch of options especially cause you can time the Kung Lao hat and when it will actually hit the opponent, they’ll never know which one comes first if you mix it up. Or you could catch them blocking either way and then just grab them. Kung Lao is imo the best cameo for her for this reason- you can keep the pressure going basically the entire game and make Sindel seem like the most oppressive character in the game.
I totally agree with you when it comes to Sindel's "hair grabs" or lack thereof in MK 1. I loved playing with Sindel as my main in MK 11 bc of her mix-up/rush fighting style and her killer hair attacks. She had 3 weapons; the quan-do, her screams, and her hair. All of which, I feel, aren't utilized properly in MK 1, (not to mention cutting out the use of her quan-do altogether). In MK 11, I felt like for the first time her hair and screams were used in a way that allowed the player to apply an array of strategic versatile variations with her move-set no matter your fighting style. Fast-forward to MK 1 we find that the utility of her hair and screams are basically non-existent and there are no move-set customizations whatsoever. Also, from my personal perspective, really liked Sindel's back-3(Y) pop-up where she blast the ground in front of her and jumps backwards, giving you a bit of distance setting you up for a follow up/extended combo. The joy of catching Kabal players with that nifty "trap door" move brought me a lot of joy. Yeah, that dope move didn't make the cut.
She’s got no mix by herself, this is why a lot of pro players are using Kung Lao kameo for the reasons Dreammxy mentioned. With Kung Lao she has almost some of the best mixups in the game. With this, she becomes an extreme threat to even the top of the line of the cast. I started using Lao with her and I never looked back, that mix is so important for opening people up she feels naked without it now
I think the editing could have been stronger on this she clearly knows what she's talking about but cutting out some of the stuttering and stammering would have been a helpful
This video seems very outdated and doesn’t fall in line w how sindel is played anymore. You can’t say “she has trouble opening people up” anymore but 2 months ago this makes sense. Would love to see it updated w Koisy, Sonic fox setups
Are there any plans on releasing a Havik guide any time soon? Honestly it seems like I am uncapable of learning a character without these guides and I wanted to learn havik for quite some time but I cannot find a good guide so it's just a waiting game now.

For those new MK1 or fighting games, it would be wise to display or tell people what 1,2,3,4 and what plus and minus is. Please do not assume that everyone is suppose to know what these things mean. Great video and guide but I’ve done tutorials and I never assume that everyone is suppose to automatically know these terms or the terms I use. I had to look at other videos to figure out what these buttons mean. Not all the cast does this, but some of the cast who do these guides just skip this information like it’s born inmate assumed knowledge.
While it’s nice to see another girl doing a video on MK, I couldn’t get through half of the video because of the voice. I’m trying to learn Sindel, but I’ll look elsewhere.

Sindel need more projectiles because u have plenty of characters who are broken in this installment.
