We went for the very first time last year and loved it there, following one of the many trails. Unfortunately when we went the forest commission were changing one of the routes (ours) and altering the signs with different colours, so we spent half of our time walking around in circles lol. Nice to see some of the local wildlife with frogs and deer, we saw nothing like that when we were there, as I was too busy cursing all the different signs ha! Cheers Alan

We often get lost there Alan even though we've been many times, always messing around with trails and felling trees here and there......They must make a fortune on those little maps that they sell in the cafe lol. I went on my own this day with a camera so was always looking out for wildlife, missed a red squirrel though......thanks for stopping by again mate............ATB.......Stu....👍.

@@WildBorkysadventures Grisedale pike has brilliant views.......but the weather this summer has been shit to say the least........an alternative route to Grisdale pike from Crummock water up Gasgale gill from a free parking spot(langthwaite green) is a good route, you can return via a cracking ridge along hopegill-head and whiteside..............but its a longer car journey for you(judging by your accent reckon you're a lancashire lad)................The Coledale horsehoe is a brilliant hike as well from Whinlatter......hope your day works out.
